Is the name "Bombshell Bill Blaster" ever actually used, and not just implied? Not only do the games shorten it to "B. Bill Blaster" in battle, but the Tattles use the abbreviated form as well, unlike with enemies like Dark Koopatrol or Green Magikoopa. 18:08, March 15, 2020 (EDT)

:I don't recall the full term being used. Some other games have used abbreviations, like the M. M-Spike Top. I'm not sure what to do with this name. 18:41, March 15, 2020 (EDT)

The current name is what the full name is expected to be, however there are no points in either game where it is actually used, not even in tattles. Every point in both games refers to them as "B. Bill Blaster" (even though Goombella says "sorry about the abbriviation"), and according to the section above, even the prima games guide uses "B. Bill Blaster".

#LinkTheLefty Yep, no official source writes it out to my knowledge, and we've had two games worth of material for them to do so.
#Alex95 - It's pretty obvious what the abbreviation is supposed to be, but it's never written out in full to my knowledge.
#Superbound Per everyone.

::It's a technicality, but only the NP guide would be good for that, as PRIMA's Nintendo partnership didn't start until midway through the N64 era. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 13:36, October 3, 2020 (EDT)

:::Yes, for instance, Prima's Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars guide is unauthorized (and you can tell, since it bizarrely claims that the Chancellor is Princess Toadstool's father). Though regarding that example, "Earlier Times" has a space in the Nintendo Power guide, and I'm fairly certain other names that are CamelCase in-game are accounted for. Regarding Super Princess Peach, I think that has been a long time coming, but I feel it should be a separate proposal. That game's localization seems rushed. @King Marth 64 See the above section, the guides also consistently said "B. Bill Blaster." Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 21:30, October 3, 2020 (EDT)

No More Abbreviation
Can confirm that the remake no longer uses the abbreviation for their names. They are called Bombshell Bill Blasters in the remake. This could already be known, but I just personally looked it up to see and it's shown they are fully called Bombshell Bill Blasters in game.
:On that Bombshell, I have moved the article title. 21:33, May 24, 2024 (EDT)
::Thanks! I honestly would've done it myself, but I can't delete redirects to make room for moves. So thank you very much!
Explosive Weakness?
talk
Something I noticed very recently in the TTYD remake is that Bombshell Bill Blasters seems to take two more damage than they should when hit by Bobbery's Bomb move. They have a defense of four, yet still take four damage from the Bomb move (no power boosts or anything too; Bomb has an attack of 6 at max rank, which means Bombshell Bill Blasters should be taking two damage). Is there a reason for this? Are they like semi-weak to explosive moves or could this be some sort of glitch? I'm asking out of both genuine confusion and something that could potentially be added to the article too. 17:51, November 27, 2024 (EST)
