As far as I can tell, there is nothing that directly states or implies that Bombites are based on/derived from Bob-ombs. Not Nintendo Power, not the Player's Guide, not The Legend of Zelda: Encyclopedia, not The Great Hyrule Encyclopedia, not the instruction manuals. It seems the wiki just assumes the connection exists based on the enemy's design. :To be honest, it's kinda weird that this article exists here anyway. It's a Zelda creature that basically never appeared in a single Mario title, and the only justification for why it gets to stay is... it only appears in Link's Awakening (which we allow an article here since it's regarded as a guest appearance, as it's riddled with actual Mario series cameos), and it kind of resembles a Bob-omb. But that makes one question why Tarin doesn't have an article, since he similarly resembles Mario.<br>The whole thing reminds me of the Togezo being covered on our Spiny article as if it's the same thing too, which I honestly find to be a stretch (though Doc at least gave some justification here). 16:07, July 19, 2024 (EDT) | :To be honest, it's kinda weird that this article exists here anyway. :::::This is just speculation, but I wonder if this wasn't intended to be another case of renaming Bob-ombs for no reason when moving them to a new franchise, like the rename from "Bob" to "Bomb-hei". In any case, I also support the merge+redirect.
