So, we were discussing it in the talk page of List of character, but... do we have an official name for this guy? Yes, he sign himself as "Jibberjay" in the letters, but then, why is the page's title conjectural? 07:32, December 26, 2024 (EST)

:I was also checking the Prima guide and the Encyclopedia (the Italian ones)... neither of them it is called "Black Jibberjay", just "Jibberjay". What about on the English side? 07:37, December 26, 2024 (EST)

::Not sure about the English Prima guide, but I do own the English Mario Encyclopedia, which calls him "the Black Jibberjay" or "Black Jibberjay" in the relevant missions. Might be citogenesis though, as the English version infamously took various names from the Super Mario Wiki, whether the names are conjectural, borrowed from the Japanese names, or whatnot. 08:41, December 26, 2024 (EST)
:: Maybe we could move this to Jibberjay (black)? He's just called Jibberjay while the color identifier helps explicitly identify him. Or we could merge it to the regular article given that there's no distinction in-game. PrincessPeachFan (talk) 12:15, December 26, 2024 (EST)
:::I would suggest merging this one back. It's kinda like giving the Red Koopa in Roving Racers their own article, or giving the green one for having a speaking role  13:10, December 26, 2024 (EST)
::::Also worth noting, we don't have the Penguin Racers' coach (who has basically the same role) as a separate article, unlike the more recurring Coach. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 13:56, December 26, 2024 (EST)
:::::Indeed, and that coach has a name and a more distinguishing feature (the headfeathers). There can be a case for this minor character getting a page, but if not, then this Jibberjay shouldn't.
::: I was more on the idea of renaming him "Jibberjay (character)" but Mario and Doc make valid points. Also, neither the guide nor the Encyclopedia even cared to give him a section or distinction. 16:28, December 26, 2024 (EST)
