I already commented about this here a long while ago, and now I'm proposing the merging of these articles for three reasons. First, while Piranhacus Gigantici and Big Piranha Plants are found in pipes and out of them, respectively, the regular Piranha Plants have been seen in both forms, and those two forms are same species. Second, both giant Piranhas have the same Japanese name, でかパックンフラワー (Deka Pakkunfurawā), meaning "Huge Piranha Flower", so the two forms are considered the same species in Japan. Third, the name Piranhacus Giganticus hasn't been used since Super Mario Bros. 3, I believe, and since Big Piranha Plant has been recently used more often and officially, it outrules Piranhacus Giganticus by this wiki's naming policies. | I already commented about this here a long while ago, and now I'm proposing the merging of these articles for three reasons. #Stonehill There is actually a difference between the two. The first is that they obviously have different names. The second is that Piranhacus Gigantici are actually Big Piranha Plants that spawn from pipes. In addition, normal Big Piranha Plants don't spawn out of pipes, at least that's what I've seen in recent games. Therefore, we should treat them separately. | #Stonehill There is actually a difference between the two. The first is that they obviously have different names. I'm fairly sure that Giganticus was what was used in NSMBU, which would be about as recent as it gets.--Vommack (talk) 13:13, 8 June 2014 (EDT) | I'm fairly sure that Giganticus was what was used in NSMBU, which would be about as recent as it gets.--Vommack (talk) 13:13, 8 June 2014 (EDT) | ||
