Is this even an official name? And does this relate to Luigi's Mansion at all, as the article claims? I'm pretty sure the gravity things in Luigi's Mansion aren't the same.

In ''[[Super Paper Mario]]'' (SPM), there is a block-like switch that, when struck, changes the direction of gravity from one plane to another. It is called じゅうりょくスイッチ (''Jūryoku Suitchi'', "gravity switch") in Japan and the [[gravity switch]] in the game's English localization.

In ''[[Super Mario Galaxy]]'' (SMG), there is a [[spin]]nable switch that, when struck, changes the direction of gravity from one plane to another. It is called じゅうりょくスイッチ (''Jūryoku Suitchi'', "gravity switch") in Japan and the '''gravity switch''' in the Prima Guide, but we currently categorize it separately under the internal filename "Arrow Switch" on Super Mario Wiki.

Given the shared Japanese name, English name, and mechanical function of these objects, I feel like it would make more sense to categorize them under one article, which is the desired outcome of this proposal.

The ''[[Luigi's Mansion]]'' (LM) switch currently lumped under [[Arrow Switch]] is mechanically a bit different. It is more passive than most switches in the ''Super Mario'' franchise - standing on this tile automatically shifts the player from the floor to the ceiling and vice versa. No other input is needed. In the Nintendo Power guide for LM, it is passively referred to as a "circular tile" (page 53), and while this is not quite like a proper localization, there is no evidence that it is called an "Arrow Switch" or that it is accurate to lump it with the SMG object. There are examples of a true ''Super Mario'' switches that are triggered just by walking on top of it. For example, the [[P Switch|Trample Switch]] in ''Super Mario 3D World'' and ''Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker'' works this way and is currently lumped in the [[P Switch]] article. However, in my view, it is not unreasonable for the LM circular tile to have its own dedicated article.

EDIT: As discussed below, there is a comparable object in ''[[Super Princess Peach]]'' (SPP) that will be incorporated into the proposal as well.
