I regret agreeing with this, it looks terrible and does not accurately portray "angry" at all. ''Super Mario Maker 2's SMB3'' sprite is still "modern" technically, if we want to use that. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 12:13, August 6, 2019 (EDT) | I regret agreeing with this, it looks terrible and does not accurately portray "angry" at all. :Yeah, I'd prefer using the SMB3 sprite, rather than the horror of the Indifferent Sun. {{User:TheDarkStar/sig}} 12:21, August 6, 2019 (EDT) | :Yeah, I'd prefer using the SMB3 sprite, rather than the horror of the Indifferent Sun. {{User:TheDarkStar/sig}} 12:21, August 6, 2019 (EDT)

Just because [[Koopa Troopa]]s uses their old design in the ''Super Mario Bros.'' style doesn't mean we should consider that their current design. The actually Angry Sun in ''SMB'', ''SMB3'', and ''SMW'' is just meant to be a reference to its old design and how it looked in ''Super Mario Bros. 3'', just like how any other sprite in those styles look like they did, or would have looked like in the cases where they have a new sprite, in older games. (For the most part, there are some exceptions like with Bowser in the ''Super Mario World'' style.) Even if the bored sun isn't angry it is its new design, and we shouldn't ignore that just so we can use what are in our opinions a better design. Plus, the ''New Super Mario Bros. U'' design is based off a more recent game, which could be considered as more modern that its sprites representing older titles inside the same game. {{User:Doomhiker/sig}} 12:28, August 6, 2019 (EDT)
:::OK, first off, why are people still insisting "Angry" should be a necessary attribute? Need I remind y'all that the "Angry" part of the name was Nintendo Power's invention, and as such the Japanese developers are under no obligation to follow that, as it is just "sun" (or technically "taiyo") in Japan. Sorry if I'm being a bit of a jerk about this, I've had to explain this on The Spriters Resource like 10 times now and am at my limit with it. ::::Well... it's being used in game now. Does it matter if it's a Nintendo Power name when the sprite looks terrible anyway? {{User:Alex95/sig}} 14:09, August 6, 2019 (EDT) | ::::Well... it's being used in game now.
