I regret agreeing with this, it looks terrible and does not accurately portray "angry" at all. ''Super Mario Maker 2's SMB3'' sprite is still "modern" technically, if we want to use that. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 12:13, August 6, 2019 (EDT)

:Yeah, I'd prefer using the SMB3 sprite, rather than the horror of the Indifferent Sun. {{User:TheDarkStar/sig}} 12:21, August 6, 2019 (EDT)

::Using the old sprite is a bad idea. Just because [[Koopa Troopa]]s uses their old design in the ''Super Mario Bros.'' style doesn't mean we should consider that their current design. The actually Angry Sun in ''SMB'', ''SMMB3'', and ''SMW'' is just meant to be a reference to its old design and how it looked in ''Super Mario Bros. 3'', just like how any other sprite in those styles look like they did, or would have looked like in the cases where they have a new sprite, in older games. (For the most part, there are some exceptions like with Bowser in the ''Super Mario World'' style.) Even if the bored sun isn't angry it is its new design, and we shouldn't ignore that just so we can use what are in our opinions a better design. Plus, the ''New Super Mario Bros. U'' design is based off  a more recent game, which could be considered as more modern that its sprites representing older titles inside the same game. {{User:Doomhiker/sig}} 12:28, August 6, 2019 (EDT)
