In every mode, the goal is for [[Dixie Kong|Dixie]] or [[Kiddy Kong|Kiddy]] to throw balls at targets held by cardboard [[Kremling]]s. Their opponent is [[Cranky Kong]], who rambles before a match and afterward. Cranky reacts differently in each mode that he either wins or loses. If the Kongs win, Swanky rewards four bear coins and several [[Banana|Banana Bunch]]es to them, as well as sometimes also a [[Red Balloon]]. If they lose, Swanky gives Dixie and Kiddy a consolation prize of one bear coin and a few [[banana]]s. All three modes cost two [[bear coin]]s to play, and they are as follows:
