The gameplay involves landing [[Cape Mario|Caped Mario]] on items of different value in medals. The player has the option of doubling or tripling their bet. They must dive within 15 seconds. If the player dives into an enemy or [[pit]] or runs out of time, they lose. If the player wins, [[Mario]], [[Yoshi]], and [[Princess Peach|Princess Toadstool]] appear onscreen.
