The following is a list of all captains' Super Abilities:

===Super Mario!===

[[Mario]]'s Super Ability. Mario grows in size and becomes nearly invincible for a limited time, crushing everybody including his own teammates, as if he had used a [[Mega Mushroom]]. Super Mario can be knocked down by shells, banana peels, stars, and [[Bob-omb]]s. If the player has no items, there is a slight chance that they can slide tackle Super Mario (though he is only knocked down for a short time). Big hits do not affect Super Mario.

===Super Luigi!===

[[Luigi]]'s Super Ability. Similar to Super Mario, Luigi grows in size and becomes nearly invincible for a limited time, crushing everybody including his own teammates, as if he had taken a [[Mega Mushroom]]. Super Luigi can be knocked down by shells, banana peels, stars, and [[Bob-omb]]s. If the player has no items, there is a slight chance that they can slide tackle Super Luigi (though he is only knocked down for a short time). Big hits won't affect Super Luigi.

[[Princess Peach]]'s Super Ability. Using a special camera, she can freeze all players around her in place temporarily in a photograph, removing them from play temporarily.

===Crystal Smash!===

[[Princess Daisy]]'s Super Ability. She performs a ring of orange crystals shooting out of the ground in a circle around her, knocking out anybody near them and shortly protecting Daisy.

===Egg Roll!===

[[Yoshi]]'s Super Ability. He turns into a giant [[Yoshi Egg]], and is able to roll around and crush opponents. If Yoshi does not have the ball in his possession when he does this, he is not able to gain possession of it while rolling around. Pressing the {{button|wii|b}} instantly cancels the move.

===Gas Mask!===

[[Wario]]'s Super Ability. He releases nauseous gas (which is limited), which confuses all surrounding players, disorienting the player by temporarily inverting the controls.

===Wall-Luigi!===

[[Waluigi]]'s Super Ability. Waluigi leaves a trail of thorn bush walls and allows him to move twice as fast, allowing him to enclose an area, shielding it from opponents, and initiate his Mega Strike. Waluigi has a limited supply of this ability, as such, there is no time limit, and he can keep using it until his supply runs out.

===Thunder Wham!===

[[Donkey Kong]]'s Super Ability. By pounding the ground, DK sends shock waves in a small circle-shaped area, stunning all who touch them.  Additionally, this attack tilts the arena briefly.  The direction in which the arena tilts is dependent on which side the move was performed on.

===Fire Storm!===

[[Bowser]]'s Super Ability. He is able to spray fire around himself until his supply runs out, temporarily burning all who touch it. Any burned characters lose all control and run around randomly.

===Sonic Roar!===

[[Bowser Jr.]]'s Super Ability. Bowser Jr. roars, sending out small sonar waves in front of him. Anybody who touches them shrinks and is temporarily stunned. After no longer being stunned, they move more slowly before eventually growing back to full size. The player can make themselves regular size again if they use a Mushroom.

===Red Card!===

[[Diddy Kong]]'s Super Ability. Diddy creates a vertical beam of light. Anybody who steps into it (Diddy himself excluded, but Diddy's teammates included) is sucked out of the field for about 15 seconds. The beam itself only stays for about three seconds, so it is best used around clusters of opponents.

===Mud Slinger!===

[[Petey Piranha]]'s Super Ability. He is able to vomit three balls of goop onto the ground 4 times in front of him. Anybody hit by them is stunned, and everything (including items such as shells) except for Petey is slowed down if on the goop. After hitting the ground, they form small circles. Anybody who runs through these is slowed down, and is not able to reach Petey. Petey can keep using this ability until it runs out.
