'''Stage 5-12''' is the twelfth and final level of the [[Desert]] in the [[Game Boy]] version of ''[[Donkey Kong (Game Boy)|Donkey Kong]]''. This level is a boss battle with [[Donkey Kong]].

==Layout==
[[Mario]] starts off on the bottom of the level on a big block that is slightly raised. There are [[pit]]s on both the right side and left side, which Mario can fall into. There are two platforms on each side above the first platform, and there are small stairs on each side above the second platforms with a platform in the middle below Donkey Kong next to them. The fourth platforms are next to the platform Donkey Kong is on, and [[Pauline]] is on a platform above Donkey Kong.

==Battle==
Donkey Kong throws [[Tsutan'ōmen]] instead of [[Barrel]]s, which can walk around and defeat Mario by touching him. Donkey Kong can throw Tsutan'ōmen like barrels, he can throw them straight down, or throw them left or right. They then begin to walk, and continue to walk around until they reach the bottom and walk into the pits. Mario must [[jump]] onto a Tsutan'ōmen, then pick it up and make it up to Donkey Kong while avoiding other Tsutan'ōmen and throw it at Donkey Kong to deal damage to him. Mario must repeat the process two more times to defeat Donkey Kong. Once Donkey Kong is defeated, he falls over again, but then gets back up and takes Pauline away again, ending the level.

==Cutscene after level completion==
Donkey Kong runs with Pauline in tow and is able to find the outside of the pyramid where there is an [[Airplane]] getting ready to lift off. Donkey Kong gets on the plane while Mario arrives and follows Donkey Kong onto the plane. Mario then reappears on the wing of the plane in his [[Small Mario|small]] form. He then jumps and heads back inside to the plane then the cutscene ends and the player is given lives based on their score.
