'''{{world link|s1|castle|Special 1-Castle}}''' is the fifth and final level in [[Special 1]], and is the fifty-third total level in the game. It is based off [[World 1-Castle (Super Mario 3D Land)|World 1-Castle]]. This is the first level in the game where the timer is set to just 30 seconds.

Upon clearing the level for the first time, the player unlocks [[Luigi]] as a playable character.
==Layout==
The player starts out on a platform, and must drop down onto another platform that contains a [[+ Clock]]. Dropping down two more platforms leads to some rotating gear platforms and a rectangular [[Coin Block]] that contains two [[coin]]s and a [[Statue Leaf]]. The player then proceeds to a platform that is propelled upwards by [[lava]], and then run across a platform where they must avoid three [[Lava Bubble]]s. This leads to a platform where two [[Hammer Bro]]s. reside; beyond that is a drop down to a lower platform with a [[Fire Bar]], and finally, a platform that contains several [[Thwomp]]s.

After this is a long narrow walkway that leads to the [[Dry Bowser]] fight, where the player must proceed to the switch whilst avoiding Dry Bowser's [[fireball]]s. After defeating Dry Bowser the door to the [[fortress]] opens, where Luigi is; the [[Warp Box]] further back leads to the [[Goal Pole]]. After the first time the level is cleared, there will be a cutscene showing Mario and Luigi running out of the castle, with Luigi saying "Thanks, bro!"
