The character that gets unconscious will be knocked out forever unless he or she eats a [[Refreshroom]]. This type of shock only makes an appearance in ''[[Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time]]''. [[Toadsworth]] is the only character to get it, and he got Shroomshock when he was thinking that [[Princess Peach]] was lost in time and unsafe. [[Dr. Toad]] later sent Mario out to get a Refreshroom for Toadsworth, which indeed cured him.
