The game is played by the Ball Bot shooting tennis balls at Luigi. Luigi must then hit the balls at a star that is floating above the course. Luigi gets 1 point for hitting the star and 7 points for smashing the star, and the points earned double with each consecutive shot that hits the star. Beating the challenge high score of 60 also unlocks the [[Castle Court]].
