It is obtained from the shopkeeper at [[Menlo Park]]'s hardware store, who trades it for the [[Football (Mario's Time Machine)|Football]] in [[Mario]]'s possession after mentioning that he lost track of it. The shopkeeper claims that the Scissors are one of his finest pair. They can then be given to the local hotel owner, who previously said that he was looking for a pair of hair clippers so that he can give a haircut to one of the hotel's guests.
