'''Polterpups''' are ghost [[dog]]s in ''[[Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon]]''. These dogs take various objects of importance that [[Luigi]] needs. These range from [[Key]]s to Gold Dog Bones. A Polterpup may also revive Luigi, who has lost all of his [[Heart Point|HP]], if Luigi happens to have a Gold Dog Bone with him.<ref>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmNnhZSkZIU</ref> When a Polterpup has taken something, the player must track it down using the [[Dark Light]] function. When the Polterpup is found, they must suck it up. Upon being sucked up, their color changes to gold.

Polterpups also appear in a specific multiplayer mode called [[ScareScraper|Polterpup Mode]]. In this mode, the group must find the kennels or locations where the Polterpups are hiding and acquire them all. *When a Polterpup goes through a wall, it leaves an imprint, referencing the Slimer from ''[[wikipedia:Ghostbusters (film)|Ghostbusters]]''.
