Should there be a template for all special moves, too? There are templates for special moves for other games already. The problem is, SSBM has a total of 26 characters (including Sheik), which would be quite messy too handle with a template. What do you think? - 08:07, 2 June 2007 (EDT)

That would be a great idea. I was thinking about that myself. But, you should make seperate Templates that cover each characters attacks, instead of putting everyone into one Template. Or, you could split the Templates depending on what series they came from. Like, you could have one with Mario Bros. Series, with the original 4 characters, then underneath the 7 from Melee, but don't do Brawl yet. Just a few ideas. Tell me what you think about them -

:I think it would be a bit confusing to split it into those slightly undefined parts. Also, I'm right now thinking only about a template for Melee. I guess we can make show-hide terms (as in Racecourses) to "shorten" the template a bit. - 04:58, 3 June 2007 (EDT)

::I guess so. Well, maybe you should just list it as e.g., Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, DK and then list all of their attacks from both games, and then under you list the next three new characters, Peach, Bowser and Dr. Mario and list their attacks. Would that be a bit "cleaner". -

:::It still would be a problem. You can't really define into which series you want to split. I mean, Mario series has 7 characters, Zelda has 5, Pokémon has 4 characters , all other have <= 2 characters, it would become unhandy creating templates for those "minor" ones. - 05:06, 3 June 2007 (EDT)

:OK, you need help on the Final Smashes. Hmm, my advice is not to worry about that until closer to Super Smash Bros. Brawl's release. We only know of one Officially named Final Smash, so why worry right now. Just wait and relax, you've done enough work on these two Templates. -

I am working on an infobox for Smash Bros. characters. They should give a quick overview over the character's game appearances and special moves. It should also show a picture of the character and their emblem, which would also remove the emblem from the top of the page, which has been complained about justifiedly by ♥♪!?. - 13:11, 19 July 2007 (EDT)

The ancient minister gets beaten up by ROB's lasers and at one point he turns into a ROB? if anyone knows please tell me. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5833327120855200327&q=super+smash+bros.+brawl+bomb+scene&ei=SApmSIWEE4SSrgL9lYWPDg this link to see a video of him bursting into ROB. :The wiki's creator, Porplemontage, (or at least I guess it was him) decided that there are special articles on the wiki covering special moves. See the sidebar. Special moves are a separate section on the wiki and each can have a special article. However, Air Pump and Sword Slash were conjecturally named and not totally special moves to qualify for an article. - 14:25, 11 September 2007 (EDT)

As we now have the characters' emblems in the SSB fighter infobox, I don't think we need Trivia items or statements about the characters' emblems any more. Alexander Vince is currently adding a link to Smash Wiki on all Smash Bros. pages on the wiki. This sounds very much like advertisment. Should it be removed? - 11:18, 7 February 2008 (EST)
Well, if you think about it, some mario-related articles on wikipedia link to the mariowiki, which (usually) has more information. I don't think it's advertising (I mean, it's not like anybody's making money), it's just to say "If you want even more info, try looking here" sort of thing.

Past Tense Talk
Many of the articles in this pipe project seem to talk as if the game hasn't been released yet.
For example
The Pokéball will return in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
This talks as if the game hasn't been released yet, but we have found out this info. This makes the wiki seem out of date. Should we change this? 14:36, 28 April 2008 (EDT)
:Yes, of course. These aritcles simply have not been updated yet since Brawl's release. Whenever I see an out-of-date one, I update it, but there are way too many to keep an eye on all of them. You can go ahead and fix every outdated info you find. - 15:45, 28 April 2008 (EDT)
Metal Mario non-playable?
From the article:
Nonplayable
[...]
*Metal Mario
*Metal Luigi
What exactly makes these characters non-playable? I could turn on my Wii, fire up Melee, go into Vs., use Item Switch to turn off everything but green ! boxes, and set up a fight between Mario and Luigi. In Brawl, I could go to Special Brawl and turn on all metal all the time. --Tepples 08:28, 14 June 2008 (EDT)
It says in the Metal Mario article that Metal Mario is playable in Meele is non-playable or playable using a metal box. For brawl, it says playable using a metal box. Thats the same thing isn't it? Clay Mario
:They are listed nonplayable because their appearance as bosses is the only reason they have got an article (at least Metal Luigi). If they were only playable with the Metal Box, but not appear non-playable in the Adventure mode as well, it wouldn't be notable enough. Else, we should have Metal Link, Metal Samus, Metal Mr. Game & Watch etc. as well. - 13:42, 14 June 2008 (EDT)
Events
I think we really need to create pages about the individual events in Super Smash Bros. Melee and Brawl. I can kind of tell that there are a lot of people who are stuck on certain events because they don't know how to do it. We just need to create pages of different events, and even create a catergory called "Catergory:Events in SSB series".
