The only significant role it has played is being a lost object that must be retrieved. A majority of the time, the crown never leaves her head, aside from a few occasions, no matter how violently or quickly Peach moves around.

In the ''[[Nintendo Comics System]]'' issue [[Cloud Burst]], Princess Peach has lost her crown and needs it for her yearly recoronation, so she sends [[Mario]] and [[Luigi]] to retrieve it. She believes [[Bowser|King Koopa]] to have stolen it as he is invading "World 3." In reality, it was stolen, along with King Koopa's crown, by a [[Lakitu]], and the plumbers eventually get it back for her.

On [[N64 Royal Raceway|Royal Raceway]] in the ''[[Mario Kart (series)|Mario Kart]]'' series, a giant version of Peach's Crown can be seen atop the grandstand.

In ''[[Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars]]'', [[Princess Peach|Princess Toadstool]] loses her '''Crown''' during her wedding to [[Booster]], and Mario has to find it. Mario eventually finds the Crown on top of Booster's head. Depending on how fast Mario finds this and two of Princess Toadstool's other items, he may receive a kiss from her (if he does it very slowly, Booster, [[Bowser]], or even both may kiss him).

In the ''[[Super Smash Bros. (series)|Super Smash Bros.]]'' series, Peach attacks in her forward aerial by swiping down with her crown before putting it back on.

In ''[[Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time]]'', Princess Peach's tiara can be found on the top of the [[Thwomp Volcano]].

In ''[[StreetPass Mii Plaza]]'', Peach's Crown can be obtained as a [[Mii]] accessory. In ''[[Mario Sports Superstars]]'', Peach's Crown also appears as a [[list of horse accessories in Mario Sports Superstars|horse accessory]].

In ''[[Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle]]'' and ''[[Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope]]'', [[Rabbid Peach]] wears Peach's Crown.

In ''[[Super Mario 3D World]]'', Peach's crown is her in-game emblem and is seen when she touches a [[Checkpoint Flag]] or reaches a [[Goal Pole]]. In addition, the Crown is shown on a [[Character Switch]] (which only Peach can press) in the level [[Pretty Plaza Panic]].

Throughout most of ''[[Super Mario Odyssey]]'', Peach is seen wearing a tiara that is revealed to be [[Cappy]]'s sister, [[Tiara]], rather than her usual crown. In the post-game, after her adventure, Peach is back in her usual dress and is back to wearing her crown.
