U]]'', the theme heard on the [[Peach's Castle (world)|Peach's Castle]] world map is a foreboding arrangement of the "Inside the Castle Walls" motif alternating between the keys of F minor, G♭ minor, and G minor. The theme is orchestrated on bowed strings with {{wp|sitar}} ornaments and a synth rhythm section.

 

Additionally, the theme heard during the first part of [[The Final Battle (New Super Mario Bros. U)|The Final Battle]] uses sections of the same bowed string arrangement of "Inside the Castle Walls" with {{wp|pipe organ}} accompaniment.

In ''[[Super Mario Maker 2]]'''s Story Mode, "Inside the Castle Walls" is incorporated into the six background music tracks that build as progress on rebuilding Peach's Castle grows. Each theme introduces variations on the motif that, in sequence, approach the original "Inside the Castle Walls" melody.

The first theme is a downtempo piece that plays the motif on acoustic guitar, with shaker and wood block accompaniment, and leads into chords based on the B section of "Inside the Castle Walls". The second theme increases the tempo and plays the motif on {{wp|pizzicato}} strings, while also adding flute to the first theme's orchestration. The third theme uses synthesized instruments, playing the motif on synth strings and multiple {{wp|staccato}} synthesizers. The fourth theme adds orchestral instruments, playing a variation of the A section on lead synthesizer, and the B section on strings. The fifth theme is a traditional arrangement of "Inside the Castle Walls", but with a shaker and wood block remaining in the background. In the emergency theme, the motif is played on a sine synthesizer. Finally, the motif is used in the jingle that plays when Peach's Castle is 100% rebuilt.

In ''[[Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga]]'', an arrangement of "Inside the Castle Walls" plays in Peach's Castle Square at the beginning of the game, as well as when the [[Toad Express]] lands at [[Beanbean Airport]] and when [[Luigi]] (disguised as [[Princess Peach]]) enters the princess exchange scene at [[Joke's End]]. It was arranged by [[Yoko Shimomura]].

''[[Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time]]'' features a {{wp|Swing (jazz performance style)|swing}} arrangement of "Inside the Castle Walls" with {{wp|Keyboard percussion instrument|mallet}} percussion and a drumset alongside the traditional strings. It was arranged by [[Yoko Shimomura]].

''[[Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story]]'' features a much slower arrangement of "Inside the Castle Walls" that is heard while inside Peach's Castle at the beginning of the game as well as during the ending cutscene. It was arranged by [[Yoko Shimomura]].

While the [[Mini Mario (toy)|Mini Mario]]s or [[Mini Peach]]es are inactive, only the backing instruments play; after they begin to move, the music plays with full instrumentation.  

In ''[[Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem!]]'', three different arrangements of "Inside the Castle Walls" serve as the background themes for [[Teatime Twirl]], the first attraction in which Mini Peach appears.

In ''[[Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars]]'', an arrangement of "Inside the Castle Walls" serves as the background music in [[Swirling Courtyard]] levels.

In ''[[Mario Super Sluggers]]'', an orchestral arrangement of "Inside the Castle Walls" plays in [[Peach Ice Garden]]. The transition to the melody's B section after the melody repeats is dragged out, but the song is otherwise faithful to the original.
