The mission occurs in a secluded area of Mount Brrr, and Mario and co. must rescue fourteen Paper Toads around the area. The first Paper Toad can be found stuck in a snowman just over to the east, and the snowman must be Trio Hammered twice to free the Paper Toad. The next Paper Toad can be found just to the east, hostage by a high-up Paper Paratroopa, and Mario and co. must use Trio Glider to snatch the Paper Toad from the Paper Paratroopa. After using Trio Grab to reach the next area, the next Paper Toad can be found buried in the snow, and Mario and co. must use dash into him via Trio Drill. Mario and co. must then use Trio Drill to enter the dirt wall, and evade a pair of Grinders and dash into another Paper Toad to rescue him. Afterwards, Mario and co. will encounter a strange device that shoots Cannonballs at them; they must evade it using Trio Glider, then Trio Hammer to destroy it. After looping around to the top and using Trio Glider past some spikes, Mario and co. must catch another Paper Toad sliding on ice. Heading into the next area, Mario and co. must Trio Glider up a tall ledge, then Trio Glider again to rescue three more Paper Toads trapped in bubbles. The last six Paper Toads, all trapped in bubbles, are just a little further up north, and Trio Glider must also be used to rescue them, completing the mission.
