Paper Airplane Chase, known as Paper Plane in British English, is a DSiWare game that is a remake of Paper Plane, a minigame from WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!. It was released in Japan on December 24, 2008, in Australia on April 2, 2009, and in Europe on April 3, 2009, as a launch title for the price of 200 Nintendo Points. On April 27, 2009, it was released in North America. The game is about navigating a falling paper plane through a tower without touching the obstacles.
Paper Airplane Chase, known as Paper Plane in British English, is a DSiWare game for the Nintendo DSi, and is a remake of the mini-game "Paper Plane" from WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! It was released in Japan on December 24, 2008, in Australia on April 2 and in Europe on April 3, 2009, as a launch title for the price of 200 Nintendo Points. Unlike the original, the remake of Paper Plane offers three different modes and uses both the upper screen and the touch screen for displaying. In the mode directly based on the original, Endless Mode (Tokoton Mode), the player has to avoid obstacles with the paper plane as long as possible, gaining a point for each avoided obstacle. Since both screens are used this time, more of the forthcoming obstacles are visible, making it easier to navigate. Furthermore, the sprites of the WarioWare characters telling the flight time have been altered, e.g. Jimmy T now makes the same pose as in his artwork for WarioWare: Smooth Moves. Also when reaching 150 points, instead of Wario making a cameo appearance, Ashley will make an appearance.
Unlike the original game, the remake of Paper Plane offers three different gameplay modes, each of which use both the Nintendo DSi's top screen and Touch Screen to display the game.

The first mode, Endless (Tokoton Mode in Japanese), is directly based on the original game. The player must move the paper plane through the tower with the left and right buttons on the ds Directional Pad to avoid obstacles for as long as possible, earning a point for each avoided obstacle. Because both of the DSi's screens are used, more upcoming obstacles are visible at once. If the paper plane touches an obstacle, it is destroyed and the game is over; however, running into a wall will simply cause the paper plane to turn sharply downwards. The player's highest score is recorded and displayed on the mode selection screen.
The first new mode is a Time Attack Mode. There the player has to finish the course as soon as possible, so the time is recorded rather than points.

In the Endless mode, WarioWare characters appear from one of the tower's windows for every 30 points the player earns, telling the player their lap time:
*Jimmy T appears after reaching 30 points.
*Dribble & Spitz appear after reaching 60 points.
*Mona appears after reaching 90 points.
New characters not present in the original Paper Plane minigame also appear:
*18-Volt appears alongside 9-Volt after reaching 120 points.
*Ashley appears instead of Wario after reaching 150 points.
The characters' sprites have been updated from Paper Plane; for example, Jimmy T now makes the same pose as in his artwork for WarioWare: Smooth Moves. Additionally, unlike the other characters, Ashley does not have voice clips in this game; instead, a simple xylophone glissando plays upon her appearance - this is actually the same sound effect that is played for the shooting star in Bird & Beans.

The first mode new to Paper Airplane Chase is Time Attack, where the player must navigate the paper plane through a predefined course as soon as possible without touching any obstacles. A total of 8 stages can be played in this mode. The player's fastest time for each stage is recorded.
The second new mode, Race Mode (Taisen Mode), allows two players to play, similar to the multiplayer version of Paper Plane in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$! The player who reaches the goal first wins. Both players use the same DSi, one player controls his or her paper plane with the ds on the left, while the other player has to use the ds and ds buttons on the right. One screen is used per player. Its theme is a Mexican version of The Curious Factory's theme from Wario Land 4.

The second new mode, Race (Taisen Mode in Japanese), allows two players to play at once, similar to the multiplayer version of Paper Plane in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$!.  Both players use the same Nintendo DSi and play in the same environment. One player controls the blue paper plane with the ds Directional Pad, while the other player controls the red paper plane with the ds and ds buttons. The DSi's top screen follows the blue paper plane, while the Touch Screen follows the red paper plane. Unlike other game modes, if either paper plane hits an obstacle in this mode, it quickly respawns, allowing players to continue racing. The player who reaches the goal first wins.

In Paper Airplane Chase™, glide your virtual paper plane through an increasingly tricky slalom course. Take it slow in Endless mode or zip through several Time Attack courses. The two-player Race mode allows friends to race each other using a single Nintendo DSi system.

The Endless and Time Attack modes play an arrangement of The Curious Factory's theme from Wario Land 4 as background music, which is the same arrangement used in Paper Plane. However, the Race mode plays a Mexican rendition of this arrangement.

Spread your wings with this irresistibly simple action game for one or two players! Simply manoeuvre the paper plane through a winding course - and don't collide with the obstacles. But that's easier said than done! In Endless Mode, the longer you survive through the randomly-generated course, the higher your score. Or try Time Attack Mode to complete special courses as quickly as possible. You can also play together with a friend in Race Mode. Each player takes one side of the Nintendo DSi system to control and race with their own paper plane! Please note that elements of this software may have been featured in previously-released software.
