Papa makes his debut in this game, where he must rescue, with his family, his two twin sons from the malevolent King Mamu ([[Wart]] in the western version). Papa is the strongest character in the game, being able throw [[enemies]] and [[items]] very far, whereas his running or [[jump]]ing skills are subpar.

In the official artwork of Papa, he is shown as having brown skin and being slightly fat. He is depicted with a white turban, green clothing, and yellow pointy shoes.
