'''Painter''' is a [[Toad (species)|Mushroomer]] who, for his namesake, is a painter, and is [[Baker (The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3)|Baker]]'s cousin. Painter, alongside his cousin, makes is one and only appearance in the ''[[The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3]]'' episode, "[[True Colors]]".

Painter, along with the other Mushroom people, including [[Mario]] and [[Luigi]], was hit by the [[Koopa Color Goopa]] that [[Larry Koopa|Cheatsy]] and [[Ludwig von Koopa|Kooky]] were spreading all over the [[Mushroom Kingdom]]. When a Mushroom-disguised Kooky paints on his wall that he was in the middle of painting, Cheatsy proclaims that the blue Mushrooms "just don't get along very well with the reds." Painter, alongside everyone else who was hit by the Koopa Color Goopa was tricked into being against each other and was convinced into having a rumble starting tomorrow morning.

The next day, he along with the other Mushroom people were confused wondering if they had to fight their relatives, as he states that the rumble was a terrible idea. As the rumble was about to begin, Mario and Luigi rush in to warn the Mushroom people that [[Princess Peach|Princess Toadstool]] is needing their help and that she might've fell in a warp drain. He, along with the other Mushrooms and the Mario Bros. rush over to [[Toad]] to find Princess Toadstool, who was glad that everyone was off the battlefield. After Mario gives in a speech stating that they are all Mushrooms no matter of what color they are, he was reunited with his cousin Baker.

Painter's actual appearance in color wasn't shown anywhere in the episode despite the Koopa Color Goopa wearing off at the end.
