Mystic Forest Plus is a plus world that Mario chases Donkey Kong through in Mario vs. Donkey Kong and its remake of the same name. It is the fifth plus world in the original game, but is instead the seventh in the remake, being placed after Slippery Summit Plus. As with its original counterpart, Mystic Forest Plus takes place in a forest but at night time, as reflected in the original world's boss battle. With the exception of Monchees, all other enemies from the original Mystic Forest make a reappearance, without any additions.

In the remake, the level select screen's color is changed from cyan to peach, under similar circumstances to Mystic Forest.
Mystic Forest Plus is the fifth plus world that Mario chases Donkey Kong through in Mario vs. Donkey Kong. This world, again, takes place in a forest. The background is the night version of Mystic Forest. The sun is replaced by a half-moon.

This is a vertical level. It has 4 Cannons (2 nearly at the middle of the level and 2 at the platforms to the side), 5 springs which allows Mini Mario to gain access to higher places, 4 sets of conveyor belts and a rope. The level has several platforms which creates gaps for Mario and Mini Mario to jump while avoiding the Cannonballs. Mario starts at the bottom of the level. Mini Mario is located next to the starting point. The door is at the top of the level.

This is another vertical level. But Mario starts at the top of the level and the door is located at the bottom-left corner of the level above three blocks.
The level has several ropes at the top of the level, some at the middle and the bottom section of the level. There are two bat caves at the uppermost section of the level beside the set of ropes. Below the first 8 ropes that Mario travels is a spike pit. Mini Mario is at the left hand side of the top section. Below him is a ladder. Between the ladder and the spike pit is a hole which is 1 block width and allows Mini Mario to go to 2 conveyor belts travelling to the left such that Mini Mario can go to lower parts of the level. Below the first ladder is a room which can be accessed by Mini Mario only. It has a spring which allows Mini Mario to exit the room. Next to the room is another ladder. There is a Sleeping Spear Guy next to the ropes at the middle of the level. The bottom part of the level has another Sleeping Spear Guy, a rope and a hammer.

The high score for this level is 19000.

Presents
*Red Present- It is next to the bat cave at the top right hand corner of the level.

5-6+
This is a horizontal level. Mario starts at the bottom right corner of the level next to Mini Mario. Next to them is a ladder which can be activated when the blue switch is pressed. Above them is a yellow switch and some platforms for Mario to go to the swing bar. There is a spike pit below the middle part of the swing bar. Next to the pit are blocks which can be activated by pressing the yellow switch. Below the spikes is a platform which allows access to both parts of the level for Mini Mario (After activating the yellow switch, Mario cannot use the platform as the yellow blocks makes it impossible for him to use). Below the platform are 4 cannons. For the left hand side of the level, there is a Bob-omb dispenser at the ground. Next to it are 2 breakable blockades which are horizontally placed and a blue switch. The blue switch activates blocks which acts as steps for Mini Mario to return to higher place. It is next to the breakable blockades. Above the blue blocks is a platform which can be activated after pressing the yellow switch. It makes the gap between the door and the middle platform smaller. So that Mini Mario can reach the door, located above the blue switch.

The high score for this level is 18500.

Presents
*Red Present- It is on the middle platform above the cannons.
*Yellow Present- It is above the spikes.
*Blue Present- It is next to the 2 breakable blockades.

5-DK+
This stage is similar to the one at Mystic Forest. This stage 6 conveyor belts on each side and DK on a high platform in the middle with a switch on it. Again, DK throws red variants of Bob-ombs (that still moves when it is about to explode) on the conveyor belts to the side to try to hit Mario. The main difference between this and the previous battle is that the ground is replaced by 6 blocks and 9 breakable blockades. Below the blocks is a spike pit which causes instant death to Mario. After throwing Bob-ombs to DK four times, the stage is cleared. And Twilight City Plus is unlocked.

The high score for this boss is 20000.

Bonus level
Exclusively in Mario vs. Donkey Kong for the Nintendo Switch is a bonus level that can be played after completing enough levels. This bonus level is formatted in a similar fashion to Mystic Forest's bonus level, in which the player is tasked on using the Hammer to excavate several clusters of rocks for 1-Up Mushrooms. If the path is cleared enough, the player can then focus on catching the flying key and bringing it to the chest for more extra lives.
