The admins agreed that they were a waste of space that did little with the Wiki and only encouraged users to edit their userspace more. The userboxes are now only Wiki-related (except for the basic ones at the bottom). {{User:Fawfulfury65/sig}}

They wanted to keep only the example boxes as a starting point. I think they said that the previous way encouraged excessive mainpage edits and excessive length to the article.
