A part of the guidelines section states that there are only three games in the Super Smash Bros series, while there are actually five, or six if counting 3DS and Wii U as separate games. SuperGarfieldWorld 21:09, December 7, 2019 (EST)

Updates
Due to a couple of proposals passed last year, "References to other games and references in later games: What aren't references?" needs to be updated.
*Proposal 1 adds music to the list of non-references. It should now read "When a character, location, object, enemy or theme that became common to the series reappears."
*Proposal 2 adds reissues as non-references. It should now read "Follow-up games and reissues aren't references to the original ones. Example: Super Mario Galaxy 2 isn't a reference to Super Mario Galaxy. Neither is Super Mario 64 DS a reference to Super Mario 64."
