'''Mario's Gloves''' are a part of [[Mario]]'s clothing. He wears them in every appearance, except for some older games (e.g., ''[[Wrecking Crew]]'' and certain [[Game & Watch]] titles) and in appearances where he is [[Baby Mario|a baby]]. In ''[[Luigi's Mansion]]'', Mario loses one of his gloves inside [[Luigi's Mansion (location)|the mansion]], forcing [[Luigi]] to search for it. It is eventually found in the [[Projection Room]] after the [[Grabbing Ghost|Cinema Ghosts]] haunting it are cleared. In the [[Luigi's Mansion (Nintendo 3DS)|3DS version]]'s Hidden Mansion, however, it is instead found in the [[Courtyard (Luigi's Mansion)|Courtyard]] after all of the [[Ceiling Surprise]]s and [[Purple Bomber]]s in the area are cleared.

After Luigi gives Mario's Glove to [[Madame Clairvoya]], she says, "''Wh-what is this? If it isn't Mario's Glove! Ah-hah! Still damp with the sweat of the living!''"

*Even though Mario "lost" his glove in ''Luigi's Mansion'', he is still shown wearing both gloves while in [[Mario's Painting|his painting]]. The same applies to [[Mario Cap|his hat]] and [[Mario's Shoe|his shoe]].

Despite this, Mario does not wear gloves in the original Japanese arcade cabinet or in the spritework of the game, nor in the Japanese illustrations or sprites for the sequel, ''[[Donkey Kong Jr. (game)|Donkey Kong Jr.]]''. Additionally, Zavier Leslie Cabarga, the illustrator for the North American flyer in a Facebook post in 2015, has claimed to be the one who gave the gloves to Mario while modeling him after Popeye.
