The key was brought to [[Big Boo's Haunt]], where [[Mario]] had to get into a secret room using a [[Power Flower (Super Mario 64 DS)|Power Flower]] and navigate through a maze to find King Boo, and defeat him. The Luigi Key is made of gold with a "L" in the center of it, as well as a [[Luigi's Cap|Luigi Hat]] on top of it. Once the player unlocks Luigi's door with this key, the Luigi Hat will appear in courses.
