In the first area, the player must slide through a small gap to reach the left half of the area. Then, they must activate the blue [[Color Switch]], then either get the [[1-Up Mushroom]] first (in a [[Shy Guy]]-patrolled area) or backtrack and collect the key. The player must then drop down to the bottom with a blue [[Warp Box]], avoid the [[Thwomp Platform]] and activate the red Warp Box to warp the key back to the start and use it on the locked door.

In the second area, the player must simply slide across the ice and warp around with Warp Boxes to activate a yellow, then blue Color Switch. That done, the player can simply jump across the activated blue platform on top, and reach the [[Mini-Mario]] at the end.
