Lava Fountains are obstacles encountered in Lava Dome in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis. They are platforms partially submerged in lava, which move slowly from left to right. Minis can board these platforms to move across lava without being harmed, similarly to floats from Tropical Island.
Β
Certain Lava Fountains will occasionally stop to erupt at specific points, creating a pillar of lava upwards and carrying their platform with them. A Mini can still stand on a Lava Fountain's platform while it is erupting; however, if the Mini touches the Lava Fountain's lava pillar, it is burned and destroyed.
Β
In the Construction Zone, Fire Blocks can be used in the Lava Dome construction kit.
