A Large Coin is a giant coin. They appeared in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again!, and Super Mario Galaxy 2. As the name implies, it is a larger version of a coin.

It is a common object found in many levels. Each Large Coin is worth 10 coins and 500 points. Mini-Mario can collect Large Coins simply by coming into contact with them. The Large Coin is similar to the 10 Gold Coin, which is also worth 10 coins.

A Large Coin also appeared in Super Mario Galaxy 2. It was seen in Supermassive Galaxy. Mario had to wall jump on the Large Coin in order to progress through the galaxy. However the gigantic coin would spin around at times making it harder for the player to wall jump on it and progress through the level.
