Large Coins appeared in two games in the ''Mario vs. Donkey Kong'' series: ''[[Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis]]'' and ''[[Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again!]]''. They are common objects found in many levels. Each Large Coin is worth ten coins and 500 points.

Large Coins also appear in ''[[Super Princess Peach]]''. Rather than being worth ten coins, however, each one is worth five. Upon buying a [[Courage Soda]], [[Princess Peach]] and [[Perry]] can knock Large Coins out of enemies as well as finding them throughout levels.

A Large Coin also appeared in ''[[Super Mario Galaxy 2]]''. It was seen in [[Supermassive Galaxy]]. [[Mario]] had to [[Wall Jump]] on the Large Coin in order to progress through the galaxy. However the gigantic coin would spin around at times making it harder for the player to wall jump on it and progress through the level.
