The first appearance of the Lakitu trio is in ''[[Super Mario Bros. Wonder]]'', where it spawns during the Wonder Effect found in both [[Cruising with Linking Lifts]] and [[Shining Falls Special Triple Threat Deluge]]. In both appearances, it flies in after the [[Wonder Flower]] is collected and floats in the background while throwing items. Said items rain down upon the level, but change between its two appearances. When it is first encountered in [[Fluff-Puff Peaks]], it throws [[Coin]]s in a similar fashion to a [[Gold Lakitu]] from [[New Super Mario Bros. 2]], along with [[Purple Coin]]s and five [[Wonder Token]]s that spawn the [[Wonder Seed]] once collected. When said seed is touched, the Lakitu trio disappears in a puff of smoke. The idea of dropping beneficial items is built up throughout the level through [[Condrop]]s. | |||
