'''Koffing''' is a [[bulbapedia:Poison (type)|Poison]]-type [[Pokémon]] introduced in [[bulbapedia:Pokémon Red and Green Versions|the first generation of ''Pokémon'' games]]. It evolves into [[Weezing]] at level 35.

In ''[[Super Smash Bros.]]'', Koffing appears as a [[Poké Ball]] Pokémon. When summoned, it uses [[bulbapedia:Poison Gas (move)|Poison Gas]], which continuously damages any opponents near it. It also damages any opponents that touch it. While Koffing does not appear in ''[[Super Smash Bros. Melee]]'', it is replaced by its evolution Weezing, which uses the same attack with the same effect.

Koffing reappears as an enemy in Smash Run mode in ''[[Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS]]''. After inflating itself for a while, it releases Poison Gas, which damages the player while lowering stats.These stats are automatically restored without having to be collected if the Koffing is destroyed. In ''[[Super Smash Bros. for Wii U]]'', Koffing appear in Smash Tour mode, where Koffing releases a [[Bulbapedia:Smokescreen (move)|Smokescreen]] that obscures the entire board for one turn.
