When Kamek casts a spell on the doorways on one of the floors in the castle, the doorways will end up taking [[Mario]] and [[Luigi]] to a different area than intended. When the player finds a Kamek Block and hits it, a pair of symbols from Kamek's spell will be displayed on the map, showing them exactly where the two doorways lead to and from. Since the purpose of these blocks is to help the player navigate through the castle, hitting these are entirely optional.
