Princess Toadstool, as she is called, is a non-playable character in ''[[Super Mario Bros.]]'' This is her first appearance overall. In the backstory, [[Bowser]] invades the Mushroom Kingdom, transforms its inhabitants into various objects, and {{iw|wikipedia|damsel in distress|kidnaps the princess}} to prevent her from being able to reverse the spell.<ref>{{cite|url=www.nintendo.co.jp/clv/manuals/en/pdf/CLV-P-NAAAE.pdf|page=2|format=PDF|title=''Super Mario Bros.'' instruction booklet|publisher=Nintendo of America|language=en-us|date=1985}}</ref> Princess Toadstool is eventually rescued by [[Mario]] and [[Luigi]], who went on a journey to rescue her. In both the ''[[Super Mario All-Stars]]'' and ''[[Super Mario Bros. Deluxe]]'' reissues, Toadstool also kisses the player character on the cheek. Princess Peach (which was always her name outside of anglophone regions) is a non-playable character in ''[[Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels]]''. Peach is kidnapped by Bowser again and eventually rescued by Mario or Luigi after he defeats Bowser. Peach is found in a room behind a door, and her [[Toad (species)|subjects]] celebrated around them after she recited a poem. In the ''Super Mario All-Stars'' release, Peach is located in a cage dangling above a lava pit, like in the ''Super Mario Bros.'' remake within the same game. In the second remake included in ''Super Mario Bros. Deluxe'', Peach is on the floor behind the destroyed bridge instead.

Princess Toadstool is both a supporting and a non-playable character in ''[[Super Mario Bros. 3]]''. For most of the game, Toadstool is not the damsel-in-distress, and she helps [[Mario]] and [[Luigi]] by sending items and supplying advice via letters to them. It is not until the defeat of [[Ludwig]] when Princess Toadstool gets kidnapped, revealed in a letter from Bowser. Mario and Luigi travel to Bowser's hideout in [[Dark Land]] and rescue her. In international releases, Toadstool joking says to the player character that she can be found in another castle.<ref>{{cite|quote=Thank you, but our princess is in another [[castle]]! ... Toadstool has a slightly larger role in ''[[Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3]]''. In the opening, Toadstool is shown receiving a letter about how the Koopalings are taking over various lands nearby and then dispatching Mario and Luigi. When the player character reaches the second area of [[Dark Land|World 8]], Toadstool is seen transposed on a warp pipe behind a locked gate with the help bubble emerging, before suddenly vanishing while either screaming or crying for Mario. Toadstool's line of being in another castle was not retained in this version. She is displayed on the key art of the [[Blue Green Switch]] card.

For the 25th Anniversary release for ''Super Mario All-Stars'', [[Nintendo]] submitted a letter with Toadstool being the in-universe author, in which she explains that she needs to find new pen-pals, after years of sending letters to Mario. Toadstool states that she sent a power-up for the reader and that they not tell Mario, lest he possibly get jealous, and provides a hint about how they should keep their power up handy as they re-discover their adventures in ''Super Mario All-Stars''. Lastly, Toadstool informs the reader that they can get in touch with her "at another [[castle]]."

Princess Toadstool is a non-playable character in ''[[Super Mario World]]''. She is on a vacation in [[Dinosaur Land]] with Mario and Luigi, only to be kidnapped by Bowser again and taken to his castle in the [[Valley of Bowser]]. Toadstool is only seen during the final boss fight and ending. In the battle, Toadstool is kept with Bowser in the [[Koopa Clown Car]], from which she sometimes throws power-up items for the player character. After she is rescued, Toadstool kisses Mario or Luigi on the cheek, and during the credits, travels with Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi to [[Yoshi's House]] to observe the hatching of the rescued eggs with the other Yoshis.

 

In [[Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2|the reissue]], Toadstool accompanies Mario and Luigi via Hot Air Balloon and looks on as Mario and Luigi explore in Dinosaur Land while in their [[Cape Mario|Cape form]]. Mario and Luigi later return to find Toadstool gone, having been abducted by [[Koopa (species)|Koopas]]. The end sequence was slightly changed to have the Mario Bros. fly behind Toadstool, who is riding a [[Yoshi (species)|Yoshi]], to set up a picnic.

Peach is a non-playable character in ''[[Super Mario 64]]'' and ''[[Super Mario 64 DS]]''. She invites Mario to the [[Peach's Castle|Mushroom Castle]] for cake, although Bowser takes over the [[Power Star]]s and seals Peach in the fresco over the entrance of the castle. Mario can optionally read two memos from Peach on his journey to rescue her, including [[The Princess's Secret Slide]]<ref>{{cite|author=Peach|quote=My castle is in great peril!! The localized anglophone releases mark the only instances in the ''Super Mario'' franchise to use both Peach's common name and her original Western name. International releases formerly type the latter with "Toadstool" and personally signed with "Peach" in pink underneath,<ref>{{cite|quote={{file link|Peach's message.png|Yours truly-- Princess Toadstool. Peach is both a supporting and a non-playable character in ''[[Super Mario Sunshine]]''. She boards an [[Toad Express|airplane]] to [[Isle Delfino]] with Mario and [[Toadsworth]] for a vacation. While watching the tour video, Peach notices [[Shadow Mario|an ominous figure]] resembling Mario and tries to inform Mario and Toadsworth, both of whom are too distracted by the thought of what to do on vacation. At the [[Delfino Airstrip|airstrip]], Peach is unsuccessful again at informing Mario and Toadsworth of the doppelganger's presence. Before Mario leaves to find help, she warns him to be careful, as she has an ominous feeling about the situation. Not too long after, when Mario is put on trail for polluting [[Isle Delfino]], Peach is unsuccessful at defending him and informing of the shadowy doppleganger. While Mario is cleaning [[Delfino Plaza]] as part of his sentencing, [[Shadow Mario]] grabs Peach and runs off, but Mario manages to rescue her. After Mario collects ten [[Shine Sprite]]s, Shadow Mario kidnaps Peach again and takes her to [[Pinna Park]]. When Mario confronts Shadow Mario after battling his [[Mecha-Bowser]], Shadow Mario reveals his true identity, [[Bowser Jr.]], who says that Peach is his mother and that he is protecting her from Mario. Bowser Jr. then flees with Peach to [[Corona Mountain]]. In the last area, Peach is found in a [[Goop#Hot water|giant hot tub]] with Bowser and Bowser Jr. Peach is rescued again after Mario defeats Bowser, and she shows Mario that the power of the Shine Sprites brought the sunshine back to Isle Delfino. Peach, Mario, and Toadsworth then spend the remainder of their vacation as they had originally intended.

Princess Peach is a non-playable character in ''[[New Super Mario Bros.]]'' Peach is first seen with Mario in the intro cutscene, taking a walk around the castle, which is then struck by lightning. As Mario investigates, Bowser Jr. sneaks behind Peach and kidnaps her. Mario chases Bowser Jr., throughout the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario is able to eventually confront both Bowser Jr. and his dad, Bowser, by rescuing Peach in the end. To show her thanks, Peach kisses Mario on the cheek, causing him to chuckle nervously.

Peach is a non-playable character in ''[[Super Mario Galaxy]]''. She invites Mario to the [[Star Festival]], only for Bowser to soon lift [[Peach's Castle]] out of the ground and take Peach to the creation of his new galaxy. Mario tries to ride the castle before being attacked by [[Kamek]], sending him flying into space. With the help of a [[Baby Luma|Luma]], Mario sets off to rescue Peach. Peach sends Mario letters with [[1-Up Mushroom]]s throughout the game. After Mario rescues Peach and the universe is saved, Mario and Peach wake up in the Mushroom Kingdom reunited.

Peach is a non-playable character in ''[[New Super Mario Bros. Wii]]''. It is her birthday, and Peach is celebrating it with friends at the castle. During that time, Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings bring a cake into the castle and kidnap Peach, taking her to their airship. Mario, Luigi, and both [[Yellow Toad and Blue Toad]] give chase to hold them accountable. They eventually manage to find her in Bowser's airship, but [[Kamek|Magikoopa]] takes her to Bowser's Castle and locks her in a cage before disguising himself as her and locks himself in another. After being rescued, Peach takes a hot air balloon alongside Mario, and she either also alludes to a [[World 9 (New Super Mario Bros. Wii)|secret world]] that she has to tell Mario about, or otherwise asks him how his adventure was like.

Peach is a non-playable character in ''[[Super Mario Galaxy 2]]''. Like the first game, the intro begins with Peach inviting Mario to the Star Festival again. When Mario arrives, a giant Bowser kidnaps Peach. Once Mario defeats Bowser, he returns to the Festival and enjoys a giant cake. In the end, when Mario collects the final Grand Star, he and Peach pose together.

Peach is a non-playable character in ''[[Super Mario 3D Land]]''. She is kidnapped by Bowser while investigating the damage that a ferocious storm had dealt to the [[Tail Tree]]. When Mario and a few Toads notice this the next day, Mario gives chase to find Peach and bring her back to safety. The postcards sent by Peach reveal that she managed to knock out a Goomba and had an unsuccessful attempt at escaping before Bowser placed her in a nearby cage. After Mario defeats Bowser [[World 8-Bowser: Part 1|the first time]], Peach is taken by Bowser to [[World 8-Bowser: Part 2|his second castle]], where she is tied to a [[Goal Pole]]. Peach tries to warn the player character about Bowser's incoming attack. After Bowser is defeated again, Peach is freed by Mario, and they dance together briefly before the Toads reappear with Super Leaves, allowing them and Mario to fly Peach back to her castle during the credits. When the game is completed entirely, a picture is shown of Peach accidentally gaining a Tanooki Suit-styled dress.

Peach is a non-playable character in ''[[New Super Mario Bros. 2]]''. She is kidnapped by the Koopalings while Mario and Luigi explore the castle grounds. Upon learning of the kidnapping, Mario and Luigi give chase to hold each Koopaling (and Bowser) accountable for the capture and rescue Peach at the end. During the credits, Peach is carried by Mario until they reach the castle, to which they then do a curtsy.

Peach is a non-playable character in ''[[New Super Mario Bros. U]]'' and ''[[New Super Luigi U]]''. She is held captive in her own castle after Bowser throws the player characters out during a tea party. When the four notice from [[Acorn Plains]] that Peach's castle is held under siege, they give chase to rescue Peach and take back the castle. When the four reach the castle and manage to defeat Bowser for the first time, Peach can be seen high above a lone tower pleading for the heroes' help until bars and a barrier cover up the window and block further communication. She is rescued after Mario (absent from ''New Super Luigi U''), Luigi, Yellow and Blue Toad prevail against the final battle against Bowser and Bowser Jr., and also proceeded to witness alongside the others the hasty retreat of [[Bowser's Minions]].

Princess Peach is a playable character in ''[[Super Mario 3D World]]'' and ''[[Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury]]'' alongside [[Mario]], [[Luigi]] and [[Toad]]. Shortly after the Mario Bros. repair a [[Clear Pipe]], the Green [[Sprixie Princesses|Sprixie Princess]] emerges from it, followed by Bowser, who traps her into a jar. Peach is the first to try and stop Bowser, immediately running for the Pipe and falling into it. She joined by her friends in their quest across the realms of the Sprixie Kingdom to free the Sprixie Princesses and defeat Bowser. Peach is the second slowest playable character after the unlockable [[Rosalina]]. Peach's jumps are tied with [[Mario]]'s as the third best. Peach has the ability to temporarily hover in the air, as she did in ''Super Mario Bros. 2''. Like every other character in the game, she can use all of the power-ups that appear. Her appearance changes slightly when using some of the power-ups, most notably the [[Fire Flower]]; when she grabs one, her hair, which is normally worn hanging down, [[:File:Fire Princess Peach Artwork - Super Mario 3D World.png|is pulled back into a ponytail]]. Peach's Tanooki Suit is darker and has puffy pants and dark boots, rather than its ''Super Mario 3D Land'' design. When power-up forms and items are set to match each characters' color, Peach's are always pink (Fire form aside, as that form is white and red instead), as her [[Cat Mario|Cat Suit]], [[Boomerang Mario|Boomerang Suit]], [[Green Shell|Koopa Shell]] (while [[shell dash]]ing), [[Propeller Box]], [[Cannon Box]], [[Light Box]], and [[Ice Skate]] are all that color.

Though Peach is not in ''Bowser's Fury'', the [[kitten]]s' colors other than the calico ones match those of ''Super Mario 3D World'' playable cast's Cat forms other than Mario, with the magenta one matching Peach's.

Peach is a character in ''[[Super Mario Maker]]''. In the 10-Mario and 100-Mario Challenges, Peach is kidnapped by a group of [[Goomba]]s, so Mario goes to rescue her, successfully doing so in the latter challenge after the player completes a set number of levels uploaded by other players chosen at random. There is a [[Mystery Mushroom]] [[Costume Mario|costume]] of Peach that can be unlocked either at random from completing the 100-Mario Challenge, or by scanning a Peach [[amiibo]]. The Peach costume replaces the usual ''Super Mario Bros.'' sound effects with sounds from ''Super Mario Bros. 2''.

Peach is an unlockable playable character in ''[[Super Mario Run]]''. While she starts as a damsel in distress at first, Peach becomes playable after Bowser is defeated in [[Bowser's Bob-ombing Run]]. As a player character, Peach special ability is her Floating Jump, which has her slowly descend in midair, rather than briefly hover.

Peach is a non-playable character in ''[[Super Mario Odyssey]]'', once again taking her signature role as the damsel in distress. In the game, Bowser makes an attempt to marry Peach, and large billboards and posters advertising the marriage can be seen throughout the different kingdoms in the game. Peach spends the majority of the game wearing a special wedding dress called the [[Lochlady Dress]]. Peach is also seen to be wearing a tiara, instead of her usual crown. The tiara is revealed to be [[Cappy]]'s sister, [[Tiara]]. Peach is rescued eventually at the [[Moon Kingdom]], and she rejects both Mario and Bowser while they argue over her, much to their disappointment. When Peach decides to leave for home on the [[Odyssey]], she beckons them to join her. In the post-game, Peach disappears from her castle, having decided to explore the various kingdoms on her own terms with Tiara. She can be encountered at various kingdoms in a variety of outfits, where she provides Mario with the relevant Power Moon when talked with. After giving Mario the Power Moon, she then makes a brief comment that hints at her next destination. After meeting and obtaining a Power Moon from her in every kingdom, she returns to her castle, though the player can still see her in kingdoms where she was previously encountered, where she now gives comments that are related to the kingdoms.

The other was her wearing a pink-colored Arabian bellydancer outfit while sitting near a camel, presumably meant to be used at the [[Sand Kingdom]].

Peach is a non-playable character in ''[[Super Mario Maker 2]]''. She appears at the end of the story mode once her castle is completed and rewards Mario with a kiss. Peach also offers two jobs, each rewarding her outfit and a wig resembling her hair for the player’s [[Mii]]. Peach's final job can be offered if the player gives [[Toadette|Chief]] 1,000 coins up to ten times to complete a statue of Mario. She rewards the player with her tennis outfit once the job is completed. Her 8-bit form from the [[Mystery Mushroom]] in the previous game also briefly appears when the player starts a new game in Course World's Endless Mode.

Peach is a playable character in ''[[Super Mario Bros. Wonder]]''. She has the same attributes as Mario and most other characters, so she cannot use a Float Jump. With power-ups, Peach can transform into her [[Elephant Mario|Elephant form]], [[Bubble Mario|Bubble form]], or [[Drill Mario|Drill form]]. She also does not have her hair tied up into a ponytail in her [[Fire Mario|Fire form]], with her appearance now in line with ''The Super Mario Bros. Movie'' and her alternate costume in the ''Super Smash Bros.'' series. If Peach is chosen for the level [[The Final Battle! Bowser's Rage Stage]], Bowser will call Peach his beloved and Peach will react in shock.

Peach is the damsel-in-distress in ''[[Super Mario Bros.: Peach-hime Kyūshutsu Dai Sakusen!]]''. The story begins with Mario playing a video game at night. After the power for the TV cuts out, Peach jumps from the screen with enemies chasing her. She explains that she is a princess and asks for his help. Mario instantly becomes lovestruck, but Bowser appears and kidnaps Peach, leaving behind her [[Brooch]]. The next day, Mario and his twin brother Luigi seek out the origin of the Brooch, and a dog named "Kibidango" is tasked with guiding them there. After they stumble into the [[Mushroom Kingdom]] via [[Warp Pipe|pipe]], a [[Kinoko Sennin|wise sage]] reveals that Bowser is madly in love with Peach and wants to force her to marry him, hastening Mario's resolve.

After many adventures throughout the kingdom, they finally arrive at Peach's castle (then transformed into a stronghold for Bowser), and manage to defeat him. After returning the Brooch to Peach, she reveals that there is a legend of a matching gem owned by a wonderful prince. Kibidango reacts to the Brooch and transforms into his human form, [[Haru-ōji]] of [[List of Implied Locations#Flower-koku|Flower-koku]], who is said prince. Mario is heartbroken over this, but accepts it.

In the ''[[Dr. Mario (series)|''Dr. Mario]]'' series, Peach wears a pink nurse outfit. Peach is a minor character in ''[[Dr. Mario (game)|Dr. Mario]]'', named '''Nurse Toadstool''' in localized editions of the manual. She appears in ''[[Dr. Mario World]]'', this time referred to as '''Dr. Peach''' and is one of the game's playable characters. She decides to assume this role in order to help out [[Toad (species)|her subjects]], who have been infected by the [[Virus]]es. She is available as one of the doctors after beating stage 3, or by beating the special stage in [[World 14 (Dr. Mario World)|World 14]]. She wears a soft-pink lab coat, unlike other characters who wear white coats, and white heels instead of her usual red. In the fourth installment she beats up all the male Koopalings and locks them in her own cell, then messes up [[Wendy|Wendy O. Koopa]]'s room and threatens to shred her favorite dress. She then drops out of their tower, using a [[Cape]] to fly away. On the way, though, she is knocked off-course by a [[Bullet Bill]] carrying Mario and lands unconscious. Luigi, Yoshi, and Toad find her. Luigi then sets off to rescue Mario as the others keep an eye on Toadstool.

The game starts with Bowser kidnapping Peach into his Koopa Clown Car, while she is sitting outside of [[Mario Bros.' House|Mario's Pad]] interacting with flowers and butterflies. After Mario has charged Booster Tower and defeats [[Knife Guy]] and [[Grate Guy]], Booster grabs Peach and run away with her up [[Booster Hill]]. He reaches [[Marrymore]], where he wants to marry Peach as soon as possible. Mario manages to stop the wedding, and take Peach back to [[Toad Town|Mushroom Kingdom]]. She is put under the eyes of the [[Chancellor]], who, desperate for the princess's safety, does not want her to follow Mario on his quest against [[Smithy]]. However, Peach escapes from the [[Peach's Castle|Mushroom Castle]] with the help of her [[Granny]], who dresses herself up as the princess, and joins Mario's party to help them defeat Smithy. At the end of the game, Peach and Mario return to Mushroom Kingdom together.

Peach blows a kiss during the 200-, 500-, and 700-[[point]] borders in ''Fire'', and the kids can be used to redeem an earlier miss. Peach waits in a boat for Mario to retrieve treasure while avoiding the [[Octopus (character)|titular creature]] in ''Octopus'', and she reacts joyfully if Mario returns safely with treasure.

Peach is a non-playable character in the Modern version of ''[[Donkey Kong (Game & Watch)|Donkey Kong]]'' and a playable character in the Modern version of ''[[Chef]]''. Peach is kidnapped by the [[Donkey Kong|titular antagonist]] in ''Donkey Kong''. Peach is also in the preview animation of ''Chef'', where she is seen flipping some eggs to Mario. For the [[Mario Party|first installment]], Peach competes with the others to determine which of them is the superstar. Aside from this, she also was responsible for creating the [[Peach's Birthday Cake]] board, as revealed by Toad in one of his quotes. The [[Mario Party 2|second installment]] has Peach helping out to save [[Mario Land (Mario Party 2)|Mario Land]] from Bowser's takeover. The opening also has her suggesting they name the new theme park "Peach Land", with the rest of the cast humorously collapsing in response to this suggestion before resuming their argument. In ''[[Mario Party 3]]''{{'}}s Story Mode, the player has to defeat her on the [[Blowhard]] duel board for the Love [[Star Stamp]]. On the ''Mario Party 3'' duel boards, she starts with [[Toad]] as her partner.

In ''[[Mario Party 4]]'', Peach is one of the participants exploring the Party Cube which like previous installments included boards and corresponding minigames. Peach joins her friends in ''[[Mario Party 5]]'' to save the Dream Depot. For ''[[Mario Party 6]]'', Peach helps out to end a fight between [[Brighton]] and [[Twila]]. In ''[[Mario Party 7]]'', her default partner is [[Princess Daisy|Daisy]], and their Character Orb is the [[Flower Orb]]. Peach appears in ''[[Mario Party 8]]'' participating in the Star Carnival alongside her friends. ''[[Mario Party 9]]'', has Peach helping the rest of her friends take back the Mini Stars that were stolen by Bowser and his troops.

For the portable installments of the ''Mario Party'' series, Peach is one of the playable characters in ''[[Mario Party Advance]]''; she must be played in the Love Quest, ''Love That Princess''!, when visiting [[Mr. I]]. Peach's second appearance was in ''[[Mario Party DS]]'', in which she and her friends answer a fake invitation from Bowser and then are shrunken to the size of chess pieces.

Peach later laughs after the quarreling between the four characters ends with the arrival of Bowser.

Peach is a playable character in both versions, though she has to be unlocked in the [[Mario Tennis (Game Boy Color)|handheld version]]. Peach is a Technique type in home console releases, though her height to reach the ball, and her speed and ability to send the ball over the net makes her comparable to an All-Around type. Peach can be unlocked in the handheld version by completing the Doubles Mario Tour, and she is also in her castle, narrating the game while having [[Princess Daisy|Daisy]] at her side at all times.

Being taller than Mario, she has slightly above average reach. Her biggest disadvantage is her lack of power; her serve is among the weakest in the game. She is also a tad slow, and her lunge is only average. Her [[Power Shot (Mario Tennis series)|Offensive Power Shot]] is the [[Super Peach Spin]], which is an extreme curved shot that sends opponents walking toward the net, while her [[Power Shot (Mario Tennis series)|Defensive Power Shot]] is the [[Sweet Kiss Return]], a lob shot. Peach's home turf is the [[Peach Dome]], which is the same place where trophies get handed out when participants win tournaments. Peach appears in a few of the trophy ceremonies for specified characters (when players choose Singles Tournaments). In the event that Peach herself wins a Singles Tournament, her respective trophies are handed out by Mario and Luigi.

Peach is a playable character in ''[[Mario Tennis: Power Tour]]''. Peach is not playable in Story mode, where she invites [[Clay]] and [[Ace]] to her tournament after they complete the [[Island Open]], and has them escorted by Mario and Toadsworth on her private plane.

Peach is a playable character in ''[[Mario Tennis Aces]]'', as well as in its online tournament demo. In the majority of modes where Peach is playable, her [[Special Shot (Mario Tennis Aces)|Special Shot]] involves her forming a heart with her racket and hitting the ball.

Peach has a role in the Adventure Mode. After winning the tournament with Mario, Peach was to be "bequeathed" alongside the judges (who were later revealed to be Wario and Waluigi in disguise) with the enchanted racket [[Lucien]]. Luigi intercepts the racket, possessing him alongside with Wario and Waluigi. Peach and Daisy learn from Toad about the [[Kingdom of Bask]] and its possible connection to Lucien. Peach stayed at the stadium at Toad's request alongside Daisy, citing that Lucien alongside the possessed Wario, Waluigi, and Luigi would have exploited their absence to attack the stadium again if they had accompanied Mario and Toad. Peach and Daisy would later receive a flyer advertising that Team Mario should face Team Luigi at Marina Stadium for the five Power Stones, and revealed as much to them upon their return after learning of their discoveries. Peach, Daisy, and Mario were doubtful at the odds of defeating Lucien until being informed that Lucien only controls weak-willed individuals, and also had portions of King Bask's powers donated among them to allow them a fighting chance at defeating them and freeing them from Lucien's control. Peach and Daisy then fought Wario and Waluigi while Mario faced Luigi, ultimately succeeding in freeing them. Peach attempts to warn Bowser against stealing Lucien, and implies he is possessed by it, although Bowser makes clear that he was stealing it of his own free will and intending to settle his rivalry with Mario with it before leaving for the depths of Bask Ruins. After Mario defeats the resulting fusion between the two, [[Bowcien]], Peach congratulated Mario for surpassing the odds and reflects that true power is to be used for protection instead of controlling others.

Peach is one of the protagonists in ''[[Paper Mario]]''. She is kidnapped again by Bowser, who uses his castle to carry her away. While being held captive in her own room in the castle, a [[Star (species)|Star Kid]] named [[Twink]] comes to help her, and together they find a secret passage out of her room. Peach sabotages Bowser's plots by supplying Mario with a relatively constant stream of information, using Twink as her messenger. She also uses a special treasure chest, where she could store items, and Mario could fetch them at the chest's counterpart at [[Shooting Star Summit]]. Peach then bakes a cake for [[Gourmet Guy]], and also participate in the [[64th Trivia Quiz-Off]] run by Bowser's minions. Peach wins a [[Sneaky Parasol]], which allows her to disguise herself as one of Bowser's guards. She could use the parasol to become a [[Koopatrol]], a [[Clubba]] and a [[Hammer Bro]]. However, her disguise is lifted by [[Kammy Koopa]] as Kammy recognizes Peach.

On the [[X-Naut Fortress]] on the [[moon]], the base's main computer, the [[TEC]], falls in love with her due to a short circuit in its system, and betrays Grodus to help Peach escape and send e-mails to Mario updating the latter on the X-Nauts' plans. However, Grodus discovered TEC's actions and proceeded to forcibly shut down TEC as Peach was composing and sending the final email, only barely mentioning that she is involved in the revival of the Shadow Queen. It is later revealed that Grodus has been tricked and is following the plans of the Shadow Sirens to reanimate the [[Shadow Queen]] with Peach as a vessel.

Peach is a supporting character in ''[[Super Paper Mario]]''. She, along with Bowser, Luigi, and Bowser's minions, are kidnapped by [[Count Bleck]]. Bleck forces Peach and Bowser to marry, as doing this is the only way to form the evil [[Chaos Heart]], which would destroy the world. As Luigi, who is attending the wedding, stomps on the Chaos Heart in an attempt to stop it, everything is destroyed. Peach, however, survives and later escapes Bleck's Castle (with the help of [[Private Koopa]] and [[Dimentio]], a follower of Count Bleck). Peach falls from the sky into [[Flipside]]; although she is temporarily unconscious when Mario find her, she recovers and joins the team after Mario gives her some [[Spicy Soup]]. Peach can float and shield herself from enemies using her parasol. Luigi and Bowser later join the cause, although Bowser has to be convinced by Peach and Mario first.

Peach is mentioned in ''[[Luigi's Mansion]]'' and [[Luigi's Mansion (Nintendo 3DS)|its remake]] by [[Toad]], who says that she sent them to look for Mario and help Luigi.

Peach is a supporting character in ''[[Luigi's Mansion 3]]''. She is invited to [[The Last Resort]] alongside Mario, Luigi, and a few Toads, only to be trapped in a painting with the others except Luigi. Peach is the last to be freed from her painting, right after Mario is freed and leads Luigi to it. [[King Boo]] immediately traps Peach and everyone else in a single painting, also avoided narrowly by Luigi. After King Boo is defeated, Luigi frees everyone from the painting, and Peach contributes to rebuild the hotel.

Peach is a playable {{iw|smashwiki|fighter}} in ''[[Super Smash Bros. Melee]]''. Peach is designed after her earlier appearances, combined with the realistic graphic style of the game. She has her own home course, [[Princess Peach's Castle (Super Smash Bros. Melee)|Princess Peach's Castle]]. Several of Peach's moves are based on her abilities in ''Super Mario Bros. 2'', in that although she is slow and not as powerful, Peach can move quicker and fall slower in the air. Peach is a lightweight fighter, weighing 89 units in this game and all subsequent installments. Peach's {{iw|smashwiki|standard special move}} is [[Toad (move)|Toad]], in which Peach pulls out and hides behind Toad, who counterattacks if hit. Peach's {{iw|smashwiki|side special move}} is [[Peach Bomber]], in which she flies forward hips-first into opponents. Peach's {{iw|smashwiki|down special move}} is [[Vegetable (move)|Vegetable]], in which she pulls a turnip out of the ground. Peach's {{iw|smashwiki|up special move}} is [[Peach Parasol (move)|Peach Parasol]], which allows her to fly into the air and float to the ground with her parasol. Peach is fought at the end of the first stage in {{iw|smashwiki|Adventure Mode (SSBM)|Adventure Mode}}.

Peach is a playable fighter in ''[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]]''. Her design was updated to be based on her more recent appearances of the time while still possessing realistic details. Peach's moveset goes unchanged, other than being given a [[Final Smash]], [[Peach Blossom]], which puts enemies to sleep and spawns peaches that allow Peach to recover {{iw|smashwiki|damage}}. She also does not move as quickly in the air, and her second jump does not give her as much height.

Peach is first seen [[Super Smash Bros. Brawl#Subspace Emissary|The Subspace Emissary]] watching [[Mario]] and [[Kirby]] fighting together with [[Zelda]], and run down to assist them after the arrival of the [[Primid]]s. However, she is soon captured by [[Petey Piranha]] and put into a cage along with Zelda. Kirby, who battles Petey Piranha, has the choice to rescue either Peach or Zelda. If she is not rescued, [[Wario]] appears and uses a [[Dark Cannon]] to transform her into a trophy and runs off with her. Peach is later taken by [[King Dedede]] along with [[Luigi]] and [[Ness]]. After Mario and Pit defeat Link and Yoshi in a misunderstanding (having beforehand defeated a [[False Zelda|dark clone of Zelda]] when Bowser ambushed and turned her into a trophy), Mario briefly sees Peach's trophy in Dedede's possession. Peach and the trophies are taken to Dedede's Castle, where King Dedede gives them special badges. However, Dedede's Castle is raided by [[Bowser]] and his forces, who takes her with him upon noticing her in the rubble. Peach's badge is knocked off when Bowser is accosted by Mario and Pit.

Regardless of Peach and Zelda's predicaments, the very latter part of the Subspace Emissary story shows them found on the Halberd held captive in trophy form. After [[Shadow Bug]]s sneak in to engulf their trophies and copy their forms (resulting in their forming false versions of Peach/Zelda for a second time), they challenge [[Meta Knight]], [[Lucario]], and [[Solid Snake]], who just entered the room. Once the "false forms" of Peach and Zelda are defeated, Peach and Zelda are rescued, though Snake instructs they remain in the room. The princesses disobey and explore the Halberd. When [[Fox]] battles the Halberd a second time, Peach is nearly caught in the crossfire. Zelda (as [[Sheik]]) attacks the Arwing in self-defense. Before their fight can escalate, Peach breaks them up, offering tea. Shortly afterwards, the three, along with Snake, Lucario, and [[Falco Lombardi]] defeat [[Duon]]. Peach then gifts [[Peach's Parasol|her parasol]] to Duon's original state, [[Mr. Game & Watch]], after briefly scolding him. Uniting with all the other fighters, Peach also goes into [[Subspace (Super Smash Bros. Brawl)|Subspace]] with the others, where they all find [[Tabuu]], the true enemy. She gets hit by his Off Waves and turns back into a trophy along with everyone, but Kirby, revived by one of King Dedede's badges, manages to save her and some of the others before going to face Tabuu in a final battle.

Peach is a playable fighter in ''[[Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS]]'' and ''[[Super Smash Bros. for Wii U]]''. Peach's design is less realistic to reflect her cartoony nature. Peach has the same moveset as before, now with added aesthetic effects such as rainbows, hearts, and sparkles. Peach's running animation was changed to be more similar to ''Super Mario 3D World''. In addition, she has two additional color palettes, with one of them being based on her Fire Flower color scheme from ''Super Mario 3D World''. Her eighth color palette features a black dress, while the panniers, stripes, and hem are electric yellow.

Peach is an unlockable playable fighter in ''[[Super Smash Bros. Ultimate]]''. There are some difference with Peach than in previous games of the series. When Peach {{iw|smashwiki|grab}}s an opponent, Toad appears and attacks them instead of Peach for her pummel, and two of her throws. Using the Toad special move causes Toad to appear in front of Peach instead being held up. [[Princess Daisy|Daisy]] is introduced as a playable character, being a {{iw|smashwiki|clone}} of Peach. Because of this, Peach's second costume, which was based on Daisy in previous appearances, has been changed to a golden dress. Peach's {{iw|smashwiki|forward smash}} is titled A Tool for Every Job, while her {{iw|smashwiki|up smash}} is called Ribbon Dance. Peach's victory theme, which is the orchestral arrangement of the level clear theme from ''Super Mario Bros.'' (and is shared with Mario, [[Dr. Mario]], Luigi, and Daisy), has been slightly shortened and sped up compared to the previous installments.

Two [[Spirit (Super Smash Bros. Ultimate)|spirits]] are based on the adult form of Peach, aside from her {{iw|smashwiki|fighter spirit}}. One of them is [[Cat Mario|Cat Princess Peach]], while the other is an Ace-class {{iw|smashwiki|support spirit}} that depicts her wedding appearance from ''[[Super Mario Odyssey]]'' and helps the user recover lots of {{iw|smashwiki|damage}} if they had taken a lot during a {{iw|smashwiki|Versus Mode|match}}. The Wedding Peach spirit appears in {{iw|smashwiki|The Final Battle}} portion of {{iw|smashwiki|Adventure Mode: World of Light|World of Light}}, but it can also be obtained from Peach's ''Super Mario Odyssey'' [[amiibo]]. In the spirit battle, the player, who takes constant damage, faces Peach and Mario in their wedding costumes on the [[New Donk City Hall (stage)|New Donk City Hall]] stage, but only Peach has to be defeated.

The princesses are able to escape at Bowser's Castle, but are soon caught and recaptured by the Bowser Jr. duo. Despite this, the Bowser Jrs are promptly defeated by Mario's team and the princesses escape with them. They return to [[Peach's Castle]] and reassemble it after it was blown up by Bowser's Minions as retaliation for the Bowser Jrs' loss to Mario's team. Once the Mario team defeats [[Shiny RoboBowser]], they regroup at the castle. She says goodbye to her paper self as she returns to the ''Paper Mario'' world.

 

In ''[[Mario & Luigi: Brothership]]'', Peach appears together with [[Dorrie]] and a team of characters wearing orange bands. Her role in the game is unknown.

Peach is a supporting character in ''[[Mario Pinball Land]]''. She visits [[the Fun Fair]] with Mario. Peach is enthralled by the [[Sky Cannon]] and decides to try it for herself, but two [[Goomba]]s rotate the cannon to point towards Bowser's Castle, blasting Peach right into the castle's gates. Mario turns into the shape of a pinball to progress through the pinball levels and rescue Peach. After Peach is rescued, the two of them both return to the Fun Fair to ride the roller coaster together.

 

Peach makes cameo appearances in the [[WarioWare (series)|''WarioWare'' series]]. Peach appears in the [[NES Open Tournament Golf (microgame)|NES Open Tournament Golf]] microgame of ''[[WarioWare: Twisted!]]'', where she is seen smiling. Peach is one of the objects in the [[amiibo Tap]] microgame of ''[[WarioWare Gold]]'', where Peach in her standard and wedding outfits from ''Super Mario Odyssey'' also appear as crude drawings if the player scans the respective amiibo in [[Wario's amiibo Sketch]].

Peach appears as a guest character in the Nintendo GameCube versions of both ''[[SSX on Tour]]'' and ''[[NBA Street V3]]''.

Peach is both a playable character and a team captain. She is tied with [[Boo]] for having the second best pitching stat in the game, trailing only to [[Waluigi]] and [[Bowser]]. Her fielding stat is also tied for the second best in the game with [[Diddy Kong]], only being slightly worse than [[Magikoopa|Magikoopa's]]. Her batting is slightly below average while her running is average. Her fielding skills are the [[Super Catch]] and [[Quick Throw]]. She can also make home-runs at times even though she is not as strong as other captains. Peach's special pitch is the [[Heart Ball]], learned in Challenge Mode by purchasing the [[Lovely Heart]] item. She is the Team Captain for the [[Peach Monarchs]] (consisting of several [[Toad (species)|Toads]], [[Toadsworth]], [[Toadette]] and [[Daisy]] as sub-captain). In the Exhibition Mode, alternate names for Peach's team include the ''Peach Roses'', ''Peach Dynasties'' or ''Peach Princesses''. Peach is one of the playable captains in Challenge Mode, though in order to advance, Peach has to go against the other captains working toward the same goal of competing against Bowser. Upon meeting certain criteria during matches, the opposing team that Peach's team was victorious against join hers.

Peach is a playable character in ''[[Super Mario Strikers]]''. She is a Playmaker captain in this game and its sequels. Peach's [[Super Strike]] is the [[Super Strike#Princess Peach - Royal Strike|Royal Strike]].

Peach is a playable character in ''[[Mario Strikers Charged]]''. Her play style is different than in ''Super Mario Strikers''. Peach is the most agile and passes faster than the other characters, whilst her shooting ability and tackling strength is the weakest. Peach's deke involves her jumping a short distance, avoiding any possible body checks and even allowing her to jump over obstacles and goalies. Her [[Super Ability]] is [[Freeze Frame!]], in which cameras flock in and start taking pictures of Peach, who traps any opponents in picture frames. Cameras are also seen taking pictures of Peach during her ground entrance and on certain occasions when she is celebrating after scoring a goal for her team. When Peach executes her [[Mega Strike]], she turns into an angelic creature with wings, prior to knocking the ball down toward the goalie. Peach has a pink or blue uniform with a number 10 on it. Peach's mission level is to defeat Daisy for the [[Star Cup]]. Bowser has her as an opponent during his mission mode. Peach's theme song is a techno-inspired tune.

Peach is a playable character in ''[[Mario Strikers: Battle League]]''. She is a speed-oriented character as before, with speed and technique being her strongest statistics, although at the cost of weaker strength and shooting. Peach's speed ranks among the best alongside [[Toad]], while her strength and shooting rank among the worst.

Peach is a playable character in ''[[Mario Hoops 3-on-3]]''. She is billed a Technical character. Peach has her own court, [[Peach Field]]. Her [[Special Shot]], the [[Heart Shot]], causes a swarm of hearts to appear and left Peach and the ball to the goal. Peach wears her two-piece athletic uniform, but a sports dress can be unlocked as an alternative outfit by completing the [[Mushroom Cup]] as her.

Peach is first seen in the opening of the [[Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games (Wii)|Wii version]] of ''Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games'', first appearing at the start with the other athletes and later competing in [[Synchronized Swimming]] with Amy, Daisy and [[Blaze]], and in Rhythmic Ribbon by herself. Peach is a playable character, and she is classified as a Skill type. Peach wears her usual athletic uniform in most [[Event]]s, her winter outfit in [[Equestrian (class)|Equestrian]] events, and a leotard in both [[Gymnastics]] and [[Aquatics]] events. There is a Mii outfit based on Peach, and she is one of the characters in London Party mode who can be spoken to in order to play minigames and earn stickers.

Peach is also playable in the [[Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games (Nintendo 3DS)|Nintendo 3DS version]]. Peach is included in the Girls group, alongside Amy, Daisy, and Blaze, all of whom are playable only during certain events. In the Story Mode, Peach first appears with Blaze protecting a group of Toads from some [[imposter]]s, which they manage to defeat and then rescue Daisy and Amy. When the group find [[Rouge]], Peach defeats her in an event to stop her brainwashing, and then Rouge leads the group to the [[fog machine]] in [[Hyde Park]], which Blaze destroys. Peach decides to stay in Hyde Park with the other Girls to keep an eye on things there, and the group later call Mario, Luigi, Sonic and [[Tails]] when they face Bowser and [[Dr. Eggman]] to offer support. Peach later appears at the opening ceremony for the Olympic Games. In the bonus episodes, Peach volunteers to help with the invitations for the Olympic Games, and when Daisy visits them and offers to take Amy shopping, Peach defeats her in an Olympic event to convince her to help. When Bowser's invitation is accidentally damaged, Peach ends up rewriting it. Peach also helps Amy defeat Bowser and Dr. Eggman when they come for their invitations early, but decides to let them have them anyway as they hadn't caused any trouble. When Peach returns after finding Bowser and Dr. Eggman's invitations missing, the group find that they have left and assume that they must have found their invitations anyway, and they head on a shopping trip to celebrate. A [[List of badges in Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games (Nintendo 3DS)|badge]] of Peach can be obtained from the badge machine.

Peach is a playable character in ''[[Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games]]''. She is an athlete of the Skill type with a high technique stat, as well as above average acceleration, max speed, and stamina, but low power. Peach shares special animations with Mario, demonstrating their relationship.

At the end of the game, she is shown rejoicing alongside Amy. In the game's opening, Peach is seen participating in Equestrian.

Peach is a playable character in ''[[Itadaki Street DS]]'' and an unlockable playable character in ''[[Fortune Street]]''. Both games include Peach's Castle as one of the playable stages. Peach can be unlocked in ''Fortune Street'' by placing first or second on the Peach's Castle board in Tour Mode, and said game also features her as a rank S character.

Peach is a playable character in ''[[Mario Sports Mix]]''. She is a Technical character with average speed, although her power stat is very low. Peach's home court is [[Peach's Castle (Mario Sports Mix)|her castle]] which is compatible with the four featured sports (basketball, volleyball, hockey, and dodgeball). Peach's special move involves releasing four large hearts capable of stunning characters of the opposing team.

Peach, or more accurately, her Cat Peach form, is a character on the Virtual Console series ''[[The Cat Mario Show]]''.

Peach is a helper character in ''[[Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition]]''. She is unlocked after the player completes World 8, and her attribute is Light.

Peach is a playable {{iw|minecraftwiki|skin}} in the Super Mario Mash-up in ''[[Minecraft]]''. A [[Cat Mario|Cat Peach]] skin is also playable.

In the [[Nintendo Switch Online]] trailer in the September 13 {{iw|nwiki|Nintendo Direct}}, Peach was seen as one of the players in various portions of the Online Play, and during the Nintendo Entertainment System portion showing online gameplay, Peach and Bowser Jr. were shown playing against each other remotely with the Nintendo Entertainment System version of ''Dr. Mario''.

Peach is a playable character in ''[[Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle]]''. Peach, along with Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi, was sucked into the vortex linking the [[Rabbid]]s to the Mushroom Kingdom at the beginning of the game, and later rejoiced when Mario returned safely. She later freed Mario and one of his Rabbid partners from [[Icicle Golem]] in the level [[It Came From the Freezer]], and joins as a playable character afterwards.

Peach is a major character in ''[[The Super Mario Bros. Movie]]''. She is voiced in the English version by [[Anya Taylor-Joy]] and in the Japanese version by [[Arisa Shida]]. She presides over the Mushroom Kingdom in her castle and enlists the help of Mario and Toad on an adventure to defeat Bowser and stop him from taking over the world. Her dress is more detailed than her video game counterpart, and her crown and jewelry look more realistic. In addition, her eyebrows are longer and some pink leggings are visible under her dress. She appears in both her normal dress outfit and her biker outfit that debuted in ''[[Mario Kart Wii]]'', and is seen wielding an [[axe]]. Her [[Fire Mario|Fire Peach]] form also appears.

Peach announces her plans to the Toads to stop Bowser by teaming up with the [[Kong army]]. She then meets Mario, excited at meeting another human, and decides to test to "see what [Mario is] made of" as he asks to help save Luigi. During their training, she effortlessly completes the [[Training Course|course]], though despite Mario's several failed attempts, she decides to take him and Toad along.

Peach is the protagonist of ''[[Princess Peach: Showtime!]]''. One day, Peach received an invitation to the [[Sparkle Theater]]. However, while there, a witch named [[Grape (character)|Grape]] alongside her group, the [[Sour Bunch]], invaded the theater and took its occupants hostage. Peach teams up with the theater's guardian, [[Stella]], to try and save everyone. Stella gives Peach the power of [[Sparkle]] in order to further assist Peach in saving the theater. After completing every stage per floor, it unlocks a dark door where a [[Darkle]] boss guards a floor. Completing all stages in a certain costume allows Peach and Stella to rescue a trapped [[Sparkla]] in the basement. Freeing all of the Sparklas allow Peach to access the dark door to Grape with the power of the Sparklas transforming her into [[Radiant Peach]]. Showing up to Grape as Radiant Peach, she defeats Grape. However, Grape reveals her true form [[Grape the Great]] and destroys the Sparkle Theater. With the help of the Theets' maximum Sparkle power, Peach becomes [[Super Radiant Peach]], helping her defeat Grape the Great. Upon Grape the Great's defeat, she fades from existence, and Peach repairs the Sparkle Theater. At the end of the game, Peach and the Sparklas [[Fourth wall|perform a curtain call]].

A wide range of Peach-themed merchandise has appeared to the public over the years. Items include plush dolls, action figures, slippers, key chains, mugs, wallpaper, [[Nintendo DS|DS]] kits, and shampoo bottles. Peach was also included in [[Super Mario Chess]] as one of the Bishops, alongside Princess Daisy. Peach had a central role in the story accompanying the CD [[White Knuckle Scorin']], and was even named in the opening song "Ignorance Is Bliss". Various official game soundtracks also make reference to Peach in their song title. Peach is featured in [[Nintendo Monopoly]], where her space costs $220 and takes the place of Indiana Avenue, and Peach is one of the four base Characters included in the Standard Edition (five in the Collector's Edition) of ''[[Monopoly Gamer]]''.

Princess Toadstool makes a cameo in Game B of the Nintendo Entertainment System version of ''[[nwiki:Tetris (NES)|Tetris]]'' alongside the Mario Bros. upon completing one of the heights, specifically height 5. Toadstool in particular is atop the highest turret applauding, and is the only one of the characters that appear that neither use a musical instrument or, in the case of the Mario Bros., do any dancing. This is one of Toadstool's only two appearances on Family Computer-related hardware depicting her with blonde hair, the only other being ''NES Open Tournament Golf''.

In the Game Boy version of ''[[nwiki:F-1 Race (Game Boy)|F-1 Race]]'', Peach appears on the fourth course waving, just before the player begins the race.

Peach makes a cameo appearance in ''{{iw|wikirby|Kirby Super Star}}'' and ''{{iw|wikirby|Kirby Super Star Ultra}}''. She is seen in the audience with other ''Super Mario'' characters.

In a sketch by the producers of ''{{wp|Robot Chicken}}'' from Nintendo's {{wp|E3 2014}} YouTube video, Peach encounters [[Bowser]] upon reaching for the last donut at the snack table. Bowser apologizes for his repeated kidnappings of Peach and asks to take the donut, but Peach takes it anyway.

''[[nookipedia:Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp|Pocket Camp]]'' features Peach's Crown and Peach's Dress as clothing items, and in ''[[nookipedia:Animal Crossing: New Horizons|New Horizons]]'', the [[nookipedia:Item:Princess Peach Dress (New Horizons)|Princess Peach dress]], [[nookipedia:Item:Princess Peach Crown (New Horizons)|Princess Peach crown]], and [[nookipedia:Item:Princess Peach Shoes (New Horizons)|Princess Peach shoes]] can be obtained from [[nookipedia:Nook Shopping|Nook Shopping]] to celebrate [[Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary|''Super Mario Bros.'' 35th Anniversary]]. Additionally, the yellow variant of the [[nookipedia:Item:Tulip Surprise Box (New Horizons)|tulip surprise box]] will, when interacted, display a Princess Peach doll.

A costume resembling Princess Peach is unlockable for [[Bayonetta]] and Jeanne in the [[Wii U]] version of ''[[nwiki:Bayonetta (game)|Bayonetta]]'' and ''[[nwiki:Bayonetta 2|Bayonetta 2]]''. The costume consists of a shortened version of Peach's dress, with Mario dolls attached to it, and golden details. A palette swap for it is available, and resembles [[Princess Daisy]], but it lacks the Mario doll and instead has a Luigi doll. In both versions, her summon is Bowser. There is also an unlockable special moveset based on Mario and Peach's abilities.
