'''Hammer Throw''' is an event in the game, ''[[Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games]]''. This event is available when the game is started. It is found in the "Field" half of the "Athletics" category in the game. The objective of the event is the throw the hammer as far away from the player, while the hammer stays within the boundaries. This event mainly requires power.

== Controls ==
This event is played using the [[Wii Remote]] held vertically. The player presses the 'A button to start spinng the hammer, and builds up power by rotating the Wii Remote. The color of the hammer's arc represents the amount of power. Bronze represents the least amount of power. The color will become more silver-ish, when there is a higher amount of power. The highest amount of power is represented with silver-ish blue. Once the countdown is close to zero, the player presses the 'B button to throw the hammer. Timing and power is the key to this event.

== Description ==
''Take the hammer in hand, spin on the sopt to build up momentum, and release the hammer in the direction of the landing area before the countdown runs out. The further away it lands, the better your score. The best of three attempts is recorded.''
