He has several major changes to his body from his normal form. First, his skin color changes from a spring green to a lava red. Not only that, but also the fact that his body radiates heat, burning Mario at touch. Also, he has an additional ulcer for Mario to break. | |||

The powered-up Gobblegut may be stronger, but he is fought in the same exact manner. This time around, though, wherever he bites down on the planet, a pool of lava appears. When a handful of ulcers are left, Gobblegut starts to spit out fireballs at Mario, creating pools of lava where they land. | |||
