Gloom is one of the vibes in Super Princess Peach. | Gloom is one of the vibes that Princess Peach can use in Super Princess Peach. It is used by pressing the blue Heart Panel, which causes Peach to start crying. Her tears turn into strong spouts, which can be used to grow plants and spin water wheels. Her streaming tears sparkle when they hit the ground, the wall or the ceiling. She can also run faster and jump higher, allowing her to cross blue Donut Blocks and outrun a fast-moving swarm of Blindfold Boos. It is used to defeat some bosses such as Petey Piranha. She can also use this to strike a cluster of fragile blocks all at once. Also, the music gets two times slower when Princess Peach uses this vibe. The Gloom vibe can also be used to extinguish some fire obstacles in Fury Volcano, destroy the sand creatures in Wavy Beach, and freeze the ground in Gleam Glacier.
Gloom can also be used by some enemies like Goombas, Paragoombas, Cheep Cheeps, Dry Bones, Nipper Plants, Ravens, Rexes and Spinies. Bosses like King Boo and Giant Kamek both use this vibe as well when their health is lowered to 2 HP. King Boo uses his tears to extinguish candles, Giant Kamek's cry causes the cloud platform to disappear, and Bowser will throw giant hammers.
