The '''Giant Sockop''' is a character in the [[Nintendo DS]] game ''[[Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story]]'' who lives in [[Dimble Wood]] and is the boss of the area's [[Sockop]]s<ref>"''When's the boss coming back? I mean, you...kinda look like the boss, don't you...''" —[[Sockop]] NPC, ''Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story''.</ref>. It appears as [[Luigi]] is chasing four smaller Sockops who recently kidnapped [[Mario]] while searching for [[Attack Piece]]s. The Sockop with Mario jumps into the leader's mouth and Luigi jumps in after him, then the Giant Sockop sucks in some [[Scutlet (enemy)|Scutlet]]s who fight Luigi. After the battle, Luigi spots Mario getting poisoned in the Sockop's digestive acid. Luigi repeatedly [[hammer]]s it, sending Mario flying and causing him to land deeper in the wood, and causing the Sockop to shrink to typical Sockop size. Luigi then uses the Sockop to his advantage and rides it over thorns and fools many more Sockops. After catching up with the Sockop trio, Luigi gets out and wakes up Mario. The fourth Sockop regains consciousness and they are all defeated by Mario and Luigi. | |||
