Flopside is the mirrored counterpart to Flipside in the game Super Paper Mario. The main features that distinguish Flopside relatively from Flipside are a reversal of all areas, buildings, and residents (inanimate objects are mirror images of their Flipside counterparts) and the town being painted in shadowy tones as opposed to the bright white and yellow tones of Flipside, as well as a general dilapidated look such as broken windows and pillars. Like Flipside, Flopside contains its own Pit of 100 Trials, the boss of which is Shadoo. The Mirror Hall serves as a bridge between the two towns.

Flopside is the mirrored counterpart to Flipside in the game Super Paper Mario. Both places' names come from the phrase "flip-flop". Flopside was created by both the Tribe of Ancients and the Tribe of Darkness as an antithesis to Flipside, in order to prevent that town from falling into ruin due to the fact that light cannot exist without darkness. The two towns offset each other, and have been in perfect balance since their creation. Flopside can be accessed by passing through the Mirror Hall, which acts as a bridge between the two towns and, later, also by the blue Warp Pipe built by Welderberg.

The main features that distinguish Flopside from Flipside are its shadowy tones, a general dilapidated look such as broken windows and pillars, and a reversal of areas, buildings, and residents. Inanimate objects are mirror images of their Flipside counterparts, and the Flopside counterparts of Flipside residents have opposite personalities. For example, Pook of Flipside loves the sea, while his Flopside counterpart, Puck, prefers the sky. Also Howzit says "goooood" in Flipside and his Flopside counterpart Notso says "not so bad". Another example is the cook Dyllis, Saffron's counterpart, who mixes two items instead of simply cooking one. Generally, the ambience of Flopside is very dour and disconsolate. Flopside's music is an arrangement of Flipside's music, transposed down an octave and using different instruments and chords.
Because of the reversed nature of Flopside, the residents of the town are the opposite versions of the residents of Flipside, which in turn causes them to have different personalities, or perhaps different preferences. For example, Pook of Flipside loves the sea, while his Flopside counterpart, Puck, prefers the sky. Another example is the cook Dyllis, Saffron's counterpart, who mixes two items instead of simply cooking one. Generally, the ambience of Flopside is very dour and disconsolate.

Like Flipside, Flopside contains its own Pit of 100 Trials, the boss of which is Shadoo. It also houses half of the Heart Pillars, which are located in the same spot in relativity to Flipside. The Mirror Hall is supposedly a secret to all Flipside and Flopside residents aside from Merlon and his Flopside counterpart Nolrem. However, as the game progresses, the player encounters many characters that know about the other town, and two Flopside residents even move to Flipside.
Flopside was created by both the Tribe of Ancients and the Tribe of Darkness as an antithesis to Flipside. It was first realized that without darkness (as Flipside was a town of light), Flipside would fall into ruin, as light cannot exist without darkness. As a result, Flopside was created as a town of darkness to offset Flipside. The two towns are in perfect balance and have been ever since.

Flopside, along with Flipside, is depicted on the walls of the first 25 rooms of the Flipside Pit of 100 Trials.
As a side note, all the Heart Pillars in Flopside are located in the same spot in relativity to Flipside.

Much later in the game during the final battle with Super Dimentio, Flopside is destroyed by The Void but is restored following the destruction of the Chaos Heart.
In the PAL version, the 2nd Floor is called 1st Floor and the 3rd Floor is called the 2nd Floor. The 1st Floor was also changed to the Ground Floor.
Flopside is one of the dimensions destroyed by The Void.

Trivia
Flopside Tower
*Though many assume only a select few in Flopside know of Flipside, by the time the player has beaten the game many residents will mention Flipside--one of them in fact moves to Flipside.
Flopside Tower is the highest accessible floor of Flopside. On top of the tower is a dimensional door leading to Castle Bleck, the setting of Chapter 8 of the game. The door appears after the final Pure Heart is put in place. On the right end is an elevator leading to the base of the tower on the second floor. Falling off of the tower makes the player land on the third floor.
*Flopside's name derives from the second half of the phrase flip-flop.
<gallery>
*Flopside's music is the exact same as the Flipside music, transposed down several keys. Flopside also lacks some notes.
SPM Flopside Tower.png|Flopside Tower
*All the Flopside residents have pointy noses, as opposed to the flat noses of Flipside residents.

*Flipside & Flopside represent the mirror of light and dark.

*Despite the arches situated atop Flopside Tower, there are no levels accessed via Flopside, apart from Chapter 8-1.

Names in Other Languages
The third floor of Flopside consists of two parts. The inner part consists of an elevator leading to the second floor on the west and the fifth Heart Pillar on the east. Puck and Pete can be seen walking on the road. After the game is cleared, Nastasia can be found near the Heart Pillar. An O'Chunks Catch Card can be revealed by buying Map 5 from Flamm.

Second Floor (First Floor in PAL edition)
The second floor of Flopside consists of three parts. The inner part consists of, from west to east, Merlee's House, an elevator leading to the third floor, Inga's Inn, an elevator leading to the top of Flopside Tower, a Save Block, Nolrem's house, an elevator leading to the first floor, and Notso's shop. Winnie, Slim, Karla, Lucy and Chet can be seen walking on the road. By flipping into 3D, Mario can find a notice board outside Nolrem's house recording the number of coins the player has found and the number of enemies the player has defeated. Welderberg hiding in the west of the area can make a pipe there leading to Flipside for 300 coins. (Another pipe can be made between the east of the area and the B2 floor of Flopside for 100 coins; the player must find Welderberg in the B2 floor for that.) Mario can also access the outer part through the opening of the fences that separate the two parts.

The outer part consists of a platform made of blocks in the west and a pipe from the ceiling in the east. The heroes can reveal a similar platform in the east in order to enter the pipe, which leads to the outer part of the third floor.

The Second Floor Outskirts is linked to the outer part via a narrow path visible in 3D. It consists of some stone pillars and a pit. A giant yellow block can be found in the west; breaking it reveals a pipe to the First Floor Outskirts. (If the heroes access the First Floor Outskirts first, the yellow block will block the pipe there instead.) In the east there is a stone-colored heart floating in the air; it becomes the eighth Heart Pillar after Chapter 7 is cleared.

First Floor (Ground Floor in PAL edition)
The first floor consists of four parts. The main part consists of a hole to the back alley (passable in 3D), Bleu and Lily's house, Dyllis's Hot Fraun, an elevator leading to the B1 floor, Harold and Gertrude's house, and an elevator leading to the second floor. Kerrie, Buffy, Ditto and Patta can be seen walking on the road, and Harold can be seen in front of his house. The elevator leading to the B1 floor is only usable after some point in Chapter 5.

The back alley consists of Piccolo's house (initially locked; the heroes must complete Merlee's sidequest to get the Random House Key to open it), a walkway to the Mirror Hall, and Boodin's Fondest Hopes. Mitsy, Ruby, Hatch and Garamond can be found on the road. After the game is completed, Garamond switches place with Helvetica.

The two parts of the First Floor Outskirts are linked by a narrow path visible in 3D. The inner one consists of a pipe to the Second Floor Outskirts in the west, a pipe to the B1 Outskirts in the east, two pits, some stone pillars, two Squogs, and a sign suggesting flipping into 3D if the hero is stumped. The outer one is blocked by some stones; the hero must use Dottie to pass it, however it is also passable by clipping with Carrie. The outer part consists of a Squog, a Squig, and some stones, including one which is really a giant yellow block in disguise. Breaking it reveals a big red switch on the ground which, when pressed, makes the sixth Heart Pillar appear.

B1
The B1 floor consists of an elevator to the first floor, The Overthere bar, and an elevator to the B2 floor. Ledger can be found walking in the area, and Carson and Chip are found inside the bar. A canal can be found in the west when Mario flips to 3D. The other side consists of Flamm and Itty Bits.

The B1 Outskirts consist of the seventh Heart Pillar beyond a high wall, a pipe to the B2 Outskirts, a giant yellow block, and a pipe to the First Floor Outskirts. Breaking the yellow block removes the corresponding block in Flipside, allowing the heroes to collect The InterChet Catch Card there. Finally, by jumping onto the high wall near the Heart Pillar and flipping into 3D, the hero is able to go to the back area of the B1 Outskirts, which has a treasure chest holding a Piccolo Catch Card in the west.

B2
The B2 floor consists of a Save Block and the entrance pipe of the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials. The pipe is initially sealed with blocks; the heroes must clear the Flipside Pit of 100 Trials first and use Fleep to find a blue switch to move the blocks. If Mario flips in 3D, he can find a secret passage to the B2 Outskirts in the area above the blocks, as well as Welderberg in the east of the scene. This time, Welderberg offers to make a pipe between there and the second floor of Flopside for 100 coins.

The B2 Outskirts consist of a giant yellow block in the west, a pipe to the B1 Outskirts, some pits, a Squig and a Squog, as well as two block platforms. Hitting the yellow block reveals a blue switch which, when pressed, uncovers the secret area in the west. The area has a big treasure chest holding a Power Plus. The pits lead to a dungeon where a Barry Catch Card can be found. The secret passage mentioned above is on the higher block platform; it can be accessed via the lower platform and hidden blocks which can be revealed by Tippi. Alternatively, Luigi's jump ability can be used.
