Is it reasonable to assume the one on the right is Mario and Luigi's father, while the one wearing the frilly pink nightgown is their mother? Keep in mind, this will go against the pictures in Family Album "The Early Years", where Mrs. Mario is thin, and her husband more rotund (in both halves of this picture, the frilly one on the left is more portly). - Walkazo 19:48, 4 December 2008 (EST)
- I think that is a reasonable assumption. And it's totally fine that it doesn't match other sources. It happens. -- Son of Suns (talk)
I thought the father was on the left and the mother was on the right? Grapes
- Hmmm...possibly. He could be standing with his arms crossed with a cape-like thing behind him, not a night gown. -- Son of Suns (talk)
- What do you make of the figure on the right then? What is the outfit? -- Son of Suns (talk)
- I would support this hypothesis because, in the past, Nintendo has created more links between the Super Mario Bros. Super Show than it has the Nintendo Comics System. I would not be surprised to hear that, when asking around the Nintendo of Japan office to see if their was an appearance of the parents to be consistent with, the Super Show came up rather than the much less prominent Nintendo Comics System, wherein Mama had a much less prominent role.
