| When they arrive at Half Life Malt Shop, Kool Koopa's hideout, Mario comes up with a plan that involves him, [[Luigi]], and Toad sneaking onstage as musicians, playing music to entertain the [[Greaser Goombas|greaser Goombas]] inside while [[Princess Peach|Princess Toadstool]] and Elvin's shoes look for Elvin. The shoes and the Princess find Elvin in a freezer room frozen solid, to which the shoes explain that he will be brought back to life if Princess Toadstool puts them on Elvin's feet. However, before she can do so, she is apprehended by Kool Koopa. The shoes return to dance with Mario, Luigi, and Toad as they perform.

| At the end of the episode, after Mario and his friends defeat Kool Koopa, Princess Toadstool puts Elvin's shoes on his feet, causing the ice on him to melt and bring him back to life. As he exclaims that he feels refreshed, Mario and Luigi tell the inhabitants of Sock Hop Land that the king has returned, resulting in them running to the Half Life Malt Shop to see Elvin perform.
