Elevator Key may refer to two different types of key items in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door:

*The Elevator Key in Riverside Station.

*The Elevator Keys in the X-Naut Fortress.
Elevator Key are two small Keys found in Riverside Station and the X-Naut Fortess during the events of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Mario must retrieve it in order to operate the elevator in the front room of that station – the elevator will then take him to the switch that lowers the drawbridge that is delaying the train. This key was seemingly hidden by the Smorgs to stop and slow down Mario in his mission. In the fortress, the key is obtained by solving a puzzle where Mario must only step on the platforms that light up to get to the other side and to collect the key. This key is used to access the elevator, and the player can now go to different floors.
