'''Cross Country Skiing''' is a real life-based event in the [[Nintendo DS]] version of ''[[Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games (Nintendo DS)|Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games]]''. The player must clear two laps of a Cross Country course. The player must press {{button|ds|a}} to ski, the {{button|ds|Pad}} to turn, {{button|ds|b}} to crouch, and {{button|ds|x}} to boost. Green floors give the boosting gauge to the player, and it can only be filled up three times. There are also steep slopes that are easier to take when boosting. If the character's stamina depletes to zero, the player slows down for a little bit. The first person to finish the course in the quickest time wins.
