It starts when [[Mr. E (Mario Party Advance)|Mr. E]] asks [[Snifit]] about a mystery, to which Snifit replies if they can help him. The player can decline, after which Mr. E shifts the blame of declining the quest entirely on them, leaving Snifit disappointed or they can decide to help, starting the quest. If accepted, Snifit goes on to explain that he wants to see a ghost in the Horror Condo, which is rumored to be haunted. They then send the player off to find a ghost; returning to the second floor has them directly tell the player to communicate with a ghost by finding a place that they frequent, hinting that they should visit [[Boo Cemetery]].
