The '''Compass''' is an item in the PC release of ''[[ | The '''Compass''' is an item in the PC release of ''[[Mario's Time Machine]]''. It is an instrument used for measuring ratios and proportions, although it more closely resembles a [[wikipedia:Compass (drawing tool)|compass]] used for drawing circles rather than the [[wikipedia:Sector (instrument)|proportional compass]] that it is supposed to be. It is given to [[Mario]] by a mathematics student of [[Galileo Galilei]], who claims that Galileo perfected its design after Mario brings up that Galileo is known for being an inventor. Mario can then give it to a wandering poet, who asks for some sort of compensation to continue talking. Once the poet has the Compass, he praises how Mario has given him a tool for measurement, and continues to talk about how Galileo uses mathematics in conjunction with astronomy. | ||
