A '''Cloaking Device''' is an item in the game ''Perfect Dark''. It is also used as a helpful item in  ''[[Super Smash Bros. Melee]]''. If a player picked it up, it turned him invisible for a short amount of time. He was not completely invisible, however, and sometimes even flashed to regular for a little bit. However, the player might not be able to see himself because of this sometimes. When invisible the [[player]] is invincible, but is able to be KO'd.

There is a special Invisible Melee mode were all players have on unlimited-time Cloaking Devices all the time.

In the Event Match ''Slippy's Invention'', the player has to defeat [[Fox]] and [[Falco]] who both have on permanent Cloaking Devices.
