Page 20.</ref> are green, pigeon-like or cuckoo-like birds that appear in ''[[Super Mario Sunshine]]''. They are only found in [[Noki Bay]]. They are hidden in wall indents with no indication that they are there (barring a question mark showing up within the wall if the player tilts the camera properly). If [[Mario]] walks close enough to them, they immediately charge at him, knocking him away. They then linger for a bit of time before retreating into the wall and completely disappearing. There is no way to avoid being hit by them without completely avoiding the locations they appear in. Due to how they look and act, they are comparable to the birds inside of {{wp|cuckoo clock}}s. Similar red boxing gloves known as '''Punchers'''<ref name="Prima"/> appear from other alcoves. The bird variant has yellow, wooden crisscrossed {{wp|Ultra Hand}}-like bars behind them, while the Puncher has a black arm.

There are two Cheep Cheeps, which appear in every episode of Noki Bay except [[Red Coins in a Bottle]], where Mario is not given a chance to explore the bay. One is found along a cliffside next to the lower of two pulley-using platforms, and is reachable by grabbing along an edge and having Mario cross it by hand. The other one is found up above, in one of the holes that only opens when a relief on it is sprayed. Two Punchers appear in these missions as well, with the first being in a similar location to the first Cheep Cheep, but closer to the second pulley platform, and the second being in a hole over a [[Rocket Nozzle]] [[nozzle box|box]] on an isolated ledge nearby. Additionally, Punchers that are angled upwards appear in specific episodes, with one appearing on the ledge under the first pulley platform in [[Il Piantissimo's Surf Swim]] and [[Hold It, Shadow Mario!]] (facing a slightly different direction in each) and one appearing in a small cave across the bay in [[The Shell's Secret]], guarding a [[1-Up Mushroom]] that also only appears in that episode.
