In this minigame, two players attempt to saw the chains suspending two [[Thwomp]]s above their opponents' heads by quickly alternating between {{button|gba|L}} and {{button|gba|R}}. If one of the players saws the chain too fast, they are forced to stop and rest; players can see how fast they are sawing by the number of sweat drops that appear behind their characters' heads. The player that saws through the chain first causes the Thwomp to fall onto their opponent, winning the minigame.
